Chapter 15 : Another part of History

Larufa 's POV...

Its finally the fifth and last day of our short journey back to the Ruffalo pack and I'm not really as ecstatic and nervous as my wolf Ace is. Zah has been a little distant lately, it even got to a point were I've been sleeping alone in the tent while he remained guarding. Not that I really want to be that exclusive with him, but my wolf won't give me a break because she is longing for our mate's touch once more, which has contributed to my slightly grumpy attitude lately. Anyways, I am burning with so many questions that I have for Zah and our little tension won't hold me off from asking. I quickly quicken my pace as i catch up to Zah, leaving Rema and Ezra behind.
" Hey.... Can I talk to you for a sec ? " , I ask after I tap my mate's shoulder, ignoring the sparks I felt at the tip of my fingers.
" Morning to you too. " , He scoffed as he glared at me then continued, " Don't greet much? " , he then ended his question with a raised eyebrow.
Its a trend love , learn it.
My wolf then mentally growled at my thought as I then ignored her reaction and narrowed my eyes at Zah.
" Really? Can't just have a normal conversation with me without taunting me to end up arguing with you? " , I snapped in a low tone.
" Oh sorry, I didn't mean to not trust you enough with a normal conversation. " , He sarcastically replied.
Are you kidding me???? Talk about brushing it off and not forgetting!
' He's not wrong you know.... ' , Ace barked.
' Ace, not now. ' , I snapped at her and quickly focused my attention back to Zah and held his hand, making Rema and Ezra be in front with us now at the back. Zah surprisingly didn't retaliate , which shocked me looking at our cold relationship.
" Look, I'm sorry okey? Happy now? " , I gritted as the words escaped my mouth. It's really hard for alphas to put their ego down and actually admit to something. My action definitely sky rocketed Ace 's excitement with made her squeal at the back of my head. I swear if she keeps doing that she's gonna make my brain explode.
" must be really important for you to sincerely apologise... " , He trailed off in pure sass and continued, " ... What did you wanna ask? " , He said as he gave orders to Ezra and Rema to continue navigating their way back while we slightly slowed down our pace.
Seriously? No ' apology accepted ' ? This this guys ego is probably bigger than the whole of Zoar!
' But this big ego-ed guy is our mate and at the end of the day, he's just as alpha as you are, worse for him due to him being the alpha of alphas... ' , Ace spoke up in more of a growl .
' Your point Mrs Zah?? ' , I sassed back at her, tired of ignoring her blurts.
' love the sound of that... ' , she purred as I mentally rolled my eyes while she continued, ' ... All I'm trying to say is that your ego is probably just as big as he is - '
' Whatever Ace ... ' , I then break off from our argument as Zah then speaks up,
" Does it really take that long when you're asking a question? " , He impatiently asks.
Yes, I was gonna take even longer actually, was what I was going to say but, " ..... No, I was talking to my wolf. Anyways, tell me about what happened to Madakon. My pack has no record of that part of history apparently. " I muttered as I shrugged at the last sentence.
" Madakon played a great role in protecting the three dimensions... " He trailed off as he looked at me, looked back at the front and continued,
" ...Bringing hence forth the era of factions. Days passed as she began to realise that her days are numbered. That was because her whole being was not able to withstand the amount of power Seth transferred to her and hence she was not strong enough to keep those power without dying. That news somehow spread through out Zoar and every creature sought so rip the power out of her and rain dominance over Zoar, as well as the other two dimensions. Madakon had to find a way of not letting the powers end up in the wrong hands while finding a way of ending the tension among the different kinds of creatures. The day of the blood moon came, this night definitely enhanced the primal instincts of every animal in Zoar, making them see Madakon more as a threat than a protector and eventually, they were all trying to break in and end her life. Only a pack of wolves led by Rufus Ruffalo managed to control their predictor instincts and used the energy they got from the moon to hold them back . Unfortunately, Madakon 's time was running out and so after she quickly for saw the future, she used the scepter of Kysis to freeze the whole of Zoar , except for two species, the dragons and wolves. With her supernatural powers plus her witch powers, she raised all the dragons and drained all their dragon blood , and replaced it with regular blood. - "
" Why? " , I impatiently asked as he glared at me.
" Sorry.... Continue. " , I shrugged as he continued his narration,
" ..... The dragons were Seth's first creation, he actually used his blood to create them, the very golden blood that flowed through those dragon's veins. Madakon would have transferred the powers to the dragon shifters but she for saw that the power would later corrupt their minds and so, she chose Rufus , the leader of the Ruffalo pack to be her successor since he had a heart of ill- free intentions. And so she gathered up all the gold blood and concentrated it into his body, making him the first dragon blood alpha. This was because gold blood was the only blood whose gene was strong enough to carry Seth's powers. The gold blood made his senses the most heightened, but that's not all. Madakon put an irreversible spell that made sure that only males are to be born from his blood line so the powers should not be transferred into the wrong hands. The spell also made sure it suppressed Seth's powers, only to resurface in a descendant of Rufus whose heart is truly pure and will become the second supernatural who is destined to protect Zoar, Utopia and Alijah... "
" That's you . " , I mumbled as the info he told me sinked into my mind.
" Yeah. " , He replied.
" What happened next? " , I asked.
" When Madakon fully transferred Seth's powers, there wasn't much life left in her as she also transferred her witch powers . Her last request to Rufus was to stash the Scepter of Kysis in her witch cave on keystone earth in Utopia. She then let out her last breath as her body then turned to ashes thereafter. Rufus then used the scepter of Kysis to unfreeze Zoar and he used the scepter's power to tame all the beasts . Later on because Rufus believed in equality, he created what we call democratic body factions with representatives from each faction of creature , this then brought order and peace through our Zoar. He took his place as the representative of the wolf faction , thereby earning the title alpha of alphas and became the head of all the factions. "
" Now is it all makes sense.... But what about me? I have Aurora's powers yet I don't have any gold blood within me. " , I paused, waiting for his reply.
" Because Seth put a protection spell on Aurora's powers. But he didn't have time to put one on his powers as he was dying and so he had to swiftly transfer them and then Hence Madakon ' s idea of using gold blood. " , Zah concluded as we finally reached the borders of his pack.
" We're here. " , Rema says out loud for the two of us to here. We're finally here, a place I should now call Home sweet home.
