~ 2:25pm ~

I meet Luke by his car after school and we drive to his house. He plays one of his CDs by some band, All Time Little, or something like that all the way there. We were in the middle of some slightly annoying song when we arrive and I couldn't have been more excited to get out.

He opens the front door and walks in so I follow behind slowly.

"There you are fuckboy" an older male, probably in his early 20s walks out of the kitchen and lightly punches Luke in the arm. It must've been one of his brothers Luke talked about on the ride here.

"I see you brought your girlfriend. I didn't know you even had friends." The other one snorts.

"She's not my girlfriend jack, just fuck off,  we'll be upstairs."

"Doing what?" Jack laughs. Luke rolled his eyes.

"Working on a project dumbass. Bye," Luke waved Jack and the other one away and led me upstairs to his bedroom.

His room was dark, had lots of posters of weird looking men, probably from the weird bands he listens to, and lots of vinyl records scattered on the floor. It was pretty messy, with the bed not made and clothes on the floor. A typical boys bedroom.

He sat on his bed taking his book bag off and grabbing his macbook from under this pillows. He opens it and goes straight to some word document to make slideshows. He types in "Luke and Bella's presentation."

"I think it would be better with my name first. Bella and Luke's slideshow presentation."

"I think, um no." He says mocking me and goes to the first page. In big bold letters he writes the word "Love".

Slowly our project improved as we put more thought into it and added pictures, quotes, and examples. In about an hour we were all finished and it looked great, I thought.

"Yay we finished! Now we get the whole day off tomorrow." I hug Luke as he shuts off his computer and puts it to the side. But he didn't hug me back.

"Luke," I whine and he turns to face me. I poke his cheek.

"You're boring."

He raised an eyebrow. "Did you just call me boring? Bitch please,  I'm anything but boring."

"Then why don't you ever want to do or say anything in school unless it involves the project. You ignore me all day when we're out of English."

"Maybe I don't want to be a part of your little group. I'd rather be alone."

"Come on Luke, live a little."

"Hey I am living, I mean I'm breathing aren't I?"

"You know thats not what I mean. You should just do something different to make yourself not seem so boring."

"Fine you know what? We're going to do something tomorrow so you realize that I'm not as boring as you think I am."

"Yeah? What are you gonna do? Fly us over to the north pole to see Santa Claus?" I ask sarcastically.

He rolls his eyes and giggles. "No, we're gonna skip school."

"Okay and?"

"And... We're going to... Uh... That abandoned boardwalk a few miles away. Yeah sure."

"You don't sound sure."

"Hey I just came up with it on the spot."

"Okay fine, you can pick me up tomorrow morning and we can go to this abandoned boardwalk."
