I decided not to follow him after what happened last time he got sad and angry. I had a feeling he had gone to the beach to calm off a bit, it was obvious he didn’t like me seeing Abaddon. Was it bad I saw him again? Is it bad that we were talking and not trying to kill each other? It seems to make no sense to everyone else but, to me, it feels like I'm missing something, something that was just meant to scream kill him at me but nothing did, apart from the fact that he just looked and felt like pure evil.
I spent about an hour in the sweet little part of the city where the library, bakery and Angelus’ house are. I walked into the cozy little bakery to be smacked in the face by the smell of fresh bread. It filled my nostrils and I closed my eyes only to here a sweet and song-like chuckle from the behind the counter. I opened my eyes and saw a tall, slim lady probably in her twenties smiling a kind smile at me. She had red hair and sparkling blue eyes, just a normal angel then, and was just a little taller than me.
“I guess you haven't been in a proper bakery in a while then?” she asked in her sweet, motherly-like voice.
“Last time I went in a bakery was probably…never. Wow. I have never been in a bakery” this is the point where I think over my whole life realising how I haven't lived.
“Here, try this” said while handing me the best smelling cinnamon swirl I have ever seen. She smiled and I took a bite out of it and savoured the amazing cinnamon taste that came with it.
“That’s good, thanks” I said as I finished the heavenly pastry.
“I'm Parisa, me and my husband, Michael, own this bakery”
“Cute, I'm Lex. My err… adoptive father lives next door”
“You’re Alexis? Angelus said you were a beautiful warrior but you are so much more beautiful than I pictured you. I haven't seen you since you were a little girl now look at you! You’re gorgeous!” she walked round the counter to me and hugged me in a motherly hug and for some odd reason I felt like I had known this woman forever.
“Yeah, I'm guessing he mentioned me a lot, I recently turned eighteen actually” I said when she finally let me go.
“You have grown up haven’t you. So how are you finding AngelCity?”
“I might as well tell you…I'm that angel from legend meant to kill a demon and control the demons blah blah blah…”
“Wow…I did not expect that. Are you doing any training?”
“Shit! Sorry Parisa but I was meant to meet my trainer today and I completely forgot. It was nice to meet you, bye” I shouted as I raced out of the door. Something tells me Marian is not going to be happy about me being late.
I pushed my way past many angels and heard many shouting things like “What's the rush?!” and even a couple “Is that her?” I guess word travels fast.
Running as fast as my long legs would take me a sped through town until I finally reached the gates.
“Hey, Lex, Marian was looking for you by the way…” I heard Raph’s voice trail off as I sprinted past him. Already, I could see her sitting on a rock with sand swirling around her like a tornado. Must be her power. I jogged down the hill to begin my first training session.
(i know this was a very short and not too great a chapter but i have been busy and ill recently which sucks. I will hopefully write a bit more when I am better)
