She could, if she desired, compel her way into the homes of the royal family and suck them dry with no one else batting an eye. She could also siphon power from any supernatural being she set her sights on.
She was the Original Heretic -- the first of few witch-vampire hybrids, created by a grieving mother and overprotective father. They bestowed her with a gift, gave her this immense power, and she was grateful for it. She loved not having to worry about growing old, working at some boring office job, or having periods ever again. She bathed in the multicolored, fluorescent lights every night at various nightclubs, dancing and feeding until the dawn. She did not have to care about anyone but herself - a selfishness well-earned after her stint in the Garden. Her family left her to die.
Isolde planned on living in Paris for several years, never stepping foot in the United States again, on never seeing her traitorous older siblings ever again - until she received many letters from her older brother Elijah, summoning her to New Orleans in some futile attempt at saving Klaus from himself. She had no desire to show up for the family that deserted her, but when she discovered that the bloodline of her long-lost love was involved, she had no choice.

I've decided to pick this story up again. I was looking through old drafts and missed isolde's character and plot. I love the idea of being able to make her more of a stone-cold bitch instead of just the youngest Mikaelson. I'm excited to try my hand at writing things again!
