"Advay!" She called out.

He asked about her day and updated her about his. Advay always liked keeping a check on Khushi and telling her about the change in his events. He informed her that it might take a bit longer for him to get back to Dubai as his work had extended more. Bidding their goodbyes, she cut the call.

"Was that Advay?" Asked payal, intrigued.

"Yes!"

"How is he doing?"

"He's great, he just told me how his work has extended and that it might take longer for him to get back."

She continued after a pause. "Jiji I wanna tell you something." Payal nodded her head affirming her to continue.

"Advay and I are actually dating."

Payal's facial expressions appalled in a jiffy. "Are you kidding me right now?"

"No, we're in a relationship from the past 4 months." She replied with disinclination, gazing down at her feet.

"And here I thought I knew everything about my sister." Payal mocked, she was hurt that her sister hadn't informed her about such a crucial thing.

"Khushi I know you were close to Advay and that he was a good friend, then why didn't you tell me this. It isn't like I would've stopped you." Payal whispered.

"Jiji it's not about that. I just...I don't know how you would've reacted judging how close you've become with Arnav in the last years. Yes I know about you and Arnav, jiji, Amma told me, and I seriously don't have a problem with it. I-I just didn't know how you would've reacted."

"Do Amma and Babuji know?" Asked Payal, softly.

"Yes they do. And surprisingly they had no problem with it. They told me that by holding me back and forcing me into things, they had already messed with my life a lot. I was shocked when they said that they had no problem with my relationship. They even conversed with Advay very politely."

"You know that I'm angry at you for not telling me this earlier right?" Said Payal lividly.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry!! I promise I was dead scared of your reaction. I thought you wouldn't like it." Khushi laughed.

"Khushi just know that this is your life, and you have all the damn right to live it how you want to. If a certain someone makes you happy, I would never in a million years stop you from seeing him. I agree with Amma and Babuji that by pushing our decisions down your throat, we had indeed messed your life tremendously. If Advay makes you happy, you have all the right to be in a relationship with him."

She stopped for a fleeting second before continuing. "And about Arnav and me Khushi. I know that he has sizably hurt you in the past, and I would never fully forgive him for that. But Khushi he has changed, he has colossally changed over the years, for the good. He has dealt with his messed up life, it wasn't easy for him too, you know? He almost died." She saw her sister gasp audibly, her eyes widening hearing the last sentence.

"Khushi I'd be happy if you'd for once converse yourself with him in a small conversation. I'm not telling you to forgive him or anything, just when you meet him, do talk to him, a small conversation is what he has been waiting for with you from the past years."

"Jiji!" Khushi whispered. "It's not about forgiving. I forgave him, not only him but everyone else, the minute I walked out of their house. I knew that if I wanted a healthy new start, I had to leave the unpleasantries behind me, and I did just that. I forgave them the minute I walked out. And I hold no grudges against them. It's just that I feel so conscious and uncomfortable and weird. Like the emotions are really fucking me up."
