Chapter 16

Third Person P.O.V

King was in his office managing his business when his phone ringed. Looking at the screen he couldn't help but smile, it was no other than Athena.

" Hi love, how are you?" he asked expecting to hear her beautiful voice replying to him like she always does, but he felt his heart stopped when all he heard was a sob from his love.

" baby, what is wrong?" He asked as he stood up quickly from his seat

" L-Leo I-I-I..." she talked through her sob, but couldn't continue. King quickly ran down the stairs and right to his car. He started to drive as fast as he could. He tried to call her again but it was useless.

He felt like his heart was about to explode any minute, he was afraid if something bad happened to her, he was sure he will die.

He got to her house quickly and started ringing the doorbell, knocking, punching the door.

" baby! open the door!!" But she didn't open it, So he brought his gun out quickly and shoot the door lock and it opened.

He walked inside and he could feel his heart tightening inside his chest at the sight in front of him. Athena was sitting on the floor shaking nonstop while sobbing hard.

" baby, what is wrong?!" He quickly kneeled down in front of her cupping her cheek in his hand but she couldn't talk.

" calm down, love, calm down just tell me what is wrong..." he hugged her tightly as he tried to figure out what is wrong, he felt helpless.

without talking she slowly lifted her hand to point at something.

King quickly looked over to what she was pointing at and his eyes widened, On the TV screen Showed Aiden tied to a chair, he seemed pretty beaten up like someone has been using him as a punchbag.

Athena, on the other hand, was too weak to say anything, her brother... the only family left for her in this world is now taken away, beaten up by some people she didn't even know... her mind was full of possibilities and bad thoughts that might happen to her brother and it was just too much to take in. That is why her brain shut down, her eyes felt heavy, the only thing she saw was darkness.

" baby!! Open your eyes!" Was the last thing Athena heard before darkness pulled her deeper.

Leonardo was furious. First seeing the love of his life unconscious in his arms, second because they didn't hurt him directly they went to hurt his lover and not physically but mentally.

He carried her small frame in his arms making his way outside of the house. As he stepped out he saw his men that were supposed to guard Athena were all gathered there.

" what happened?" King asked angrily

" s-sir... we saw no harm coming near the house..." one of them said, king didn't pay attention to them, he started to walk towards his car.

He knew they got the point though, nothing happened here. He was angry at himself more than anyone else. This was all his mistake.

One of his men opened the door for him, he got inside the back seat only because he didn't want to put his love down. One of his men got into the driver seat waiting for king command.

" go to my parent's house and drive fast," He told the driver emotionlessly

" y-yes sir " the man started to drive fast while King was carefully looking at his love. He then took out his phone with his free hand and typed Thomas contact

" yes king " Thomas answered in a matter of few seconds

" try to contact the men I left to protect Aiden if they didn't reply then start searching for them and Aiden. They sent a video to Athena showing that they kidnapped Aiden and they were hurting him." King said all at once.

" oh my god! how is queen now?" Thomas asked making king look down at her.

" not good at all, send a doctor over to my parents place to check on her quickly I will be there soon," King said

" on it king," Thomas said before hanging up. King once more looked down at his queen who seemed so weak making his heartache all over again.

" I swear they will pay and your brother will be safe" He whispered to her although she can't hear him, he hugged her even closer.

King walked inside his parent's house, directly towards the nearest bedroom he can get in, he opened the door and put Athena down on the bed before covering her with a blanket.

" oh my god... what happened?" Stella gasped as she quickly walked to Athena's side

" mom, I will leave her with you I must go," the king told his mother who nodded silently while looking down at Athena worriedly.

king bean down kissing Athena's forehead once more before leaving the house and started driving to his secret research place.

As soon as he got there, he opened the door and was welcomed by the guard of the place who nodded with respect for him.

Since this is the most important place in all his Mafia Empire only the most trusted men were sent here. He had a lot of men under his control that could defeat literally any other Mafia gangs out there who tried to attack them or harm them, and they grew number each day passing.

" King," Said everyone as they stood up from their seats once they saw king walked in.

" king, how is the queen?" Adam asked as soon as he saw king

" she will highly appreciate if we find her brother soon, now any news?" Adam nodded as he started to type on the keyboard in front of him before some videos started playing on the big screen in front of them.

" you see king this are video of the kidnapping time. I must admit Aiden kicked a lot of the kidnapper's asses, why won't you ask him to join us when we find him?" King glared at him

It wasn't time for any kind of jokes

" ok sorry, yeah, so basically they killed the men which were supposed to make sure Aiden will be safe, they were only 5 honestly we didn't think they would go so far hurting him. Anyways we are close to finding out who it is, I think 2 more hours the person will be known so no worries. When we find out who it is, we can find them easily. I can say 24-30 hours from now Aiden will be with us again" King only nodded

" fast the speed " Adam nodded and they all started working to find who it was.

And it won't take long, after all, the one who messes with king will end up in a grave. Just like always.
