Authors note- there's mentions of death in this chapter. ———————————- Mississippi p.o.v I was laying looking off at the parking lot. I watched as Alabama came threw my door.
"Hey." "Hey." "So are you doing any better." "No, not really there have been more cracks appearing." "Oh, really." He said in an uncomfortable tone. "Bro don't worry about it I'll get out soon." I say trying to reassure him. He sat down and we started talking.
Time went by faster then expected. "Bye, see you tomorrow." He said while walking out the door.
As soon as he walked out the door I wiped my smile of my face. I started to look down at my hand and red, white, and blue hands. I soon got bored of that and walked to the bathroom.
I looked at the sink the to the mirror. I looked at the pice of me that was missing.(The confederate flag part)
I touched the corner were it used to be. I remover that day as if it was dream.
~flashback time~ I was walked down the road just chillin. I had my headphones in so I couldn't hear who was about to hit me. But, all I could remember was some one knocking me out with a white handkerchief.
I wake up on the side of the road with immense pain in the left corner were it used to be. I touched the the spot and my hand was covered in blood. It started dripping on to my clothes and onto the ground.
I got up and stated heading home. I just walked pass people despite the stares I wasn't really in the mood to answer questions but someone just had to get involved.
A man had immediately stopped me. He was a tall guy he was about 7'3 while I was only 5'7.
"Hey, are you okay?" "Mhhhmmmm." I say sounding like just got of a bar.
"Well imma take you to the hospital anyway." He reassured.
I passed out the rest of the way there.

Now I'm here dying slowly. I hope one day I can find that person if I survive long enough. When I find them I will shoot them how many times I I've stayed in this hospital.
