tl;dr : my sisters liked svt, i revisited them and liked them
explanation of how, why i stanned
in 2015/2016, my sisters liked seventeen so i hear some of their old songs like mansae/aju nice/20/adore u. at first, i didnt think much about it since i was a weeb and didn't know what a kpop was.
anyways fast forward to 2018, i recognised seventeen but didn't care them since i was still a weeb. then one day while browsing through youtube, a seventeen meme video got recommended to me... "oh seventeen" and i watched it 😳 i laughed my ass off and so i was curious what happened in the 2 years i didn't care about them. i decided to revisit their music videos and fell in love.
at first, i didn't have a bias. i think it also took my a week to memorise all their names. at that time, i thought 13 members were a lot but the norm for a kpop boy group lol also saying hoshi was my bias to my sisters actually scared the shit out of my 11 year old ass like omg it was lowkey like coming out.
well how did hoshi become my bias? in fact, i used to hate him for being so popular and getting so many lines. i absolutely hated him but i wasn't an anti or anything. then one fine day (haha u get it), i watched the highlight mv and my heart went KDJJSJS like jesus christ hoshi looked so good in that music video. but what really sealed the deal was when he sang that one Rain song on masked singer. i fell in love with his dancing and singing.
seventeen had been my ult group for maybe a year and hoshi is still my ult bias. they were also my first ever kpop group i stanned.. so even if im losing interest, they still and will forever have a special place in my heart.
