LEXIE SAT ON TOP OF THE BATHROOM COUNTER, eye level with miles as he wiped the rest of the sticky tears off of her face with a wet towel,

lexie smiled at miles, and for the first time in a long time, he had actually smiled back at her, lexie admired his smile, she wished he did it more often, it looked good on him.

miles put down the towel as he finished wiping lexie's face, the two sat in silence as he put it down. his eyes met lexie's as he looked up,

he didn't know what the feeling was, but he felt something whenever he was with her, something he hadn't felt in a long time,

that was the type of miles that he liked to keep hidden, no one was supposed to see his soft side. but sometimes, not all things are meant to stay hidden.

he knew he had to ask her the question that he didn't want to ask, what happened when she was in the room? and what was the loud noise that he heard?

"hey uh... lexie" miles softly said as he looked her, "yeah?" she replied back in the same tone of voice.

silence filled the room, miles didn't want to ask her but he knew that he had to, he finally mustered up enough strength to ask the girl who sat in front of him,

"w-what happened in the sewing room?" he asked in the lightest voice possible, he didn't want to come off aggressive toward her.

miles didn't miss the way her face tensed up almost instantly, it was like the fear and panic washed over her all at once again.

the truth was that lexie really DID want to tell miles what happened in the room, but she was scared, scared that he wouldn't believe her, she didn't even quite believe what happened in there herself.

but it all felt so real, the screams, the memories, the whispers, all at once, it was much more than real.

she exhaled before speaking, "i-i don't even know what happened in there" she softly admitted to miles, he kept his gaze on her, as if he was telling her to keep speaking but with his eyes.

"...i heard w-whispers, and s-screams" she continued as she begins to quiver, tears were beginning to form in her light brown eyes,

"t-they wouldn't stop," she said as a tear managed to escape from her eye and fall down her face.

miles' face softened as he saw her sadness and fear all at once, but that was soon replaced by anger. he was mad that she had to go through that,

the demons had messed with her mind, and that was a difficult battle to face.

"...and it a-all just happened at once, so i just-" she continued speaking before she cut herself off, there was no way in hell she could tell miles what happened in the room,

"you just... what, lexie?" miles finished her sentence, lexie's face contorted into fear. she really didn't want to tell him, he wouldn't believe her and she knew it.
