Raven's POV

My breathing increased at the sight of Jonathan.

How is it that this boy always seems to find me when I am by myself and defenseless? Why can't he come around when I'm with Harry or Keith?

"Look I'm not here to scare you or anything I just wanna talk." His voice is muffled since my window is rolled all the way up.

I roll my window down about half an inch and look at him.

"How do I know you aren't lying?" I ask in a small voice.

"Well if I came to hurt you I would have dragged you out of the car by now." I nod my head to myself. It does make sense.

"And I am by myself with absolutely no weapons on me or in my car." I turn around at look at his car closely. When I see no one in the car I realize he isn't lying about that.

"Empty your pockets." I state.

"Why?" He asks in a confused tone.

"Because I wanna make sure you won't try to kill me or something." Jonathan rolls his eyes, but takes a few steps away from the car.

He lifts his shirt and turns in a circle before emptying all his pockets. The only thing he had on him was a pack of Five gum.

"Will you talk to me now?" He asks as he walks towards the car again.

"We are talking Jonathan." I tell him.

"Outside of the car." He puts his hand on the door handle and waits for me to make a move.

I stare at him before finally giving in. I unbuckle my seat belt and unlock the door. Jonathan pulls the door open and stretches his hand out towards.

I wrap my hand around his and allow him to pull me out of the car.

Once I'm out of the car Jonathan closes the door and I lean against it.

"What did you wanna talk about?" I ask.

"Is he actually awake?" His voice has a hint of hope in it, but I don't know if it's from relief that his exbest friend isn't dead or if it's so he can finish what he started.

"Yes." He lets out a sigh, of what I think is, relief.

"You know I have felt guilty everyday he has been in that hospital." He confesses to me.

"I know it was part of the job, but it was the worst one that I have ever had to do." Jonathan stops looking at me and hangs his head.

"Why did you do it?" I ask. I have always wanted to know the answer to this question, but I have been too afraid of his answer.

"If I didn't do it someone else would have and their order would have been to kill him." He whispers.

"I thought that was the order all along?" I turn to face him, more confused then I have ever been.

Jonathan shakes his head and runs his hand through his hair.

"It was, but I just couldn't do it. With you standing there with that look on your face, like you knew you were about to lose your brother." He pauses. "I just couldn't do that to you."

Jonathan finally looks up at me and there is a trace of tears in his eyes. A part of me believes that he is actually guilty, but another part of me believes he is just trying to play me.

"Don't act like you care, if you don't Jonathan." The look in his eyes goes from sad to hurt.

"Raven you know I could never lie to you and the fact that you don't believe me actually hurts." I scoff at him.
