Chapter 1.

I was sitting there alone in my room. I was lonely, my dad was never home and my mom never came over. That was another story. I always told my dad that it was fine but I needed him every once in a while. Oh, I forgot. My name is Mattie Jameson, I've struggled with lots but I don't have time to tell you about it all. Nathan is the only one I've ever opened up to in my life. This is my story. It was weird, Nathan was the only one who got me. I'm 16 and school isn't easy. Nathan is 18, just graduating high school. He's rich and doesn't have a job, seeing he has everything, so he's free all the time. The bad thing is he's always with this girl, Jessie. She's really annoying, it's just his sex buddy. I went on Facebook, starting a conversation with him.
Hey(: - M
What's up?? -Nathan(;
I'm really bored, you with Jessie? -M
Yeah, sorta in the middle of something (; anything wrong though? -Nathan(;
Just super duper lonely, haven't seen you in days. -M
Want me to come over? -Nathan(;
Nah it's fine, can you in the morning though? -M
Yeah, I'll be over as soon as I get up, see ya then -Nathan(;

And that was our normal conversation. They do this about every night, it's been happening for a few months, it gets really annoying. Anywho, I was here sitting in bed doing absolutely nothing at 9:00 pm. I was added to a group chat with 3 others. I saw that one of the people I talk to added me. I wouldn't consider it a friend, just someone I talk to every now and then. I looked at the chat.
Hey Mattie!! You should really come to this party, it's rockin tonight! - Janie/:
Oh, I'm not that much of a partier. I think I'll stay at my place. -M
Truth is, I was deathly terrified of rejection.
C'mon you're so lame, just slap some makeup on and get your lazy ass over here. -Janie/:
How big of a party? -M
Just like 20-30 people, there's a few drinks left if you come. -Janie/:
Ugh can I just come to the next one, I'm pretty tired. -M

I saw the other messages in the chat. Those were the horniest teens I've ever seen. More people were being added to the chat, it grew quickly. I was looking, it seemed like they were all heading to the party. I logged off and turned my computer off. It's 9:09. What do teen girls do this time of night.
I had horrible options.
Um ew no. That is gross, stop thinking like that mind. It was so lonely. I heard the door open downstairs. I ran down, hoping it was my dad. I saw him down the stairs. I stopped at the bottom and hugged him, he was a surgeon always on duty, sometimes gone for 3 days at a time and only comes back for a few hours to rest. It sucked. " and to think I almost left for a party " I said, letting go of him. He crooked an eyebrow. " is this some crazy teen party with alcohol that all the kids talk about these days? " he questioned. I nodded. " glad I didn't go, huh. " I smiled. He nodded this time, hugging me once and kissing me on the forehead. " I better head to bed honey, I have to be up and at work at 6:00. Sorry hun. " we both frowned. " it's fine, I think I'll just watch a movie or two. After going upstairs and watching a movie, it was almost midnight. I wasn't that tired so I read my favorite online story. I was posting a comment when I saw another one. It read
" hey, you shouldn't post about this, no one likes it, the people who like it are stupid. This is literally so stupid and people who cut can go die "
My heart stopped. No one has the right to say that. It hurt MY feelings. I've been through it and it wasn't fun. I decided to message this dude.
@JoyfulJake: hey, I don't appreciate your comment on my favorite story. It was rude and idiotic. You don't know how they feel so stop thinking you do.
@xMattieJx: I never said I did, chill the hell out a second. Don't call me rude and idiotic if you're the one messaging me, practically asking to get bitched at.
@JoyfulJake: well I'm gonna go to bed, you don't know a thing about me, not one god damn thing. I'm leaving.

I logged off. For some reason his nickname made me blush. Soon enough I fell asleep to the sound of light music playing in my speakers.
