Not so warm of a Welcome

To say that half of the New Order of the Stone was excited was putting it lightly. Axel and Olivia returned to Beacontown to give Petra and Jessie a warm welcome back.

Lukas and Radar has been making preparations for Petra and Jessie's return ever since they received their letter. Preparations were being made all over town. Shops were closed for the event as everyone prepared for their heroes to arrive.

Lukas on the other hand had something special. For Jessie that is. For years he's been longing to tell her how he felt and wanted her by his side. He had his own surprise for her. He just hoped he got a moment with her when she got back.

Preparations had taking hours but everything was ready. Citizens of Beacontown where all dressed for the occasion and had bright smiles in their faces. For what was hours they waited.

And waited.

And they waited.

Until eventually, night had fallen. Everyone was becoming more and more anxious. What if they didn't show up? What if that letter had been a cruel joke someone had wanted to play?

A citizen smiled when he saw a large shadow at the end of the walkway entrance. "Look!" He pointed outside.

Alas the worry was for nothing. Their hero's had...

Wait...

It's only...

"Petra?" Lukas ran to the entrance.

Petra looked tired and beaten. She was struggling to stand. Lukas went to her side and helped her. Olivia and Axel did the same, frowning at the fact that only one of them was there though.

The citizens of Beacontown were unsure what to do. Petra didn't look well and Jessie.... she was no where in sight.

"Where's Jessie?" Radar finally asked what was on everyone's mind.

"She's.... she's gone." Petra choked. Her own eyes filled with tears. "One of the monsters...." Petra nearly fell to her knees. Never before had she felt so weak. Jessie was like a sister to Petra and now.... "Jessie is Dead!" Petra yelled painfully.

The town DEFINITELY was NOT expecting that nor had wanted that situation. The rest of the Order members were in a state of shock and bewilderment.

"W-what?" Olivia choked.

"N-no that... that can't be!" Axel nearly fell. As much shock that he was, Lukas began to help Petra inside the doors. The gatekeeper shut the doors and the world became dark. Very dark
