(Hannah's POV)
There he was. Standing like an angel. His dark green eyes shining so perfectly into mine. His smile that could make somebody forget all of their problems, was smiling at me. "Can I kiss you?" I nod my head. He leans in and gently presses his lips to mine. I wrap my arms around his neck and he pulls me in closer where theres barely any space between us. Michael Smith just kissed me. The most popular guy in school, just kissed me. Hannah Williams. I am an outcast and the fact that he's in love with me, makes my world so perfect.
He stops kissing me and puts his forehead to mine. "You know what Hannah?" He says to me.
"What?" I reply.
"You are the most beautiful girl I have ever been with and I don't want to let us go. Never."
I stood there in shock. Did he just say I'm the most beautiful girl hes ever been with? I couldn't believe it. "But wouldn't Emily be the most beautiful girl you've ever been with?" Those words just slipped off my lips. I didn't even mean for that to come out. It just did.
"Yeah, Emilys pretty, but shes a total bitch. She might be pretty but God, does her attitude and personality ruin it. You, you. You're drop dead goregous inside and out. Which makes you the most beautiful girl I have ever been with. Hannah, I love you. I have never met a girl like you. Never. I thought love didn't exist till I met you. You are the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me. I swear, I don't know what I would do if-"
In that moment, I woke up out of the most perfect dream in my entire life. I just wish Michael could be mine. Not Emily's. She doesn't deserve him. Not the least bit and it drives me crazy. Yeah, she's like perfect, with her dark brown hair that always managed to stay in place, her brown eyes, her tanned skin, her long flawless legs. Just everything about her was just perfect. And I cannot stand her. Not even the slightest bit.
I rolled over my bed and looked at the clock. 12:54. Thank God it's Saturday. I get out of bed and go down stairs to the living room.
"Well, look who's alive," My dad jokes to me. I closely look over him. He shaved his beard off! Now he's just black and gray headed old man! I stand there in shock. "Is there something wrong, Hannah?" He asks me.
"You.. You.. Shaved off your beard," I say back.
"Yeah, I did. I have a lady friend coming tonight." He winks at me.
My mom died when I was 3. I'm now 16. So, I don't remember a thing about her. My mom was pregnant with my little brother when she got cancer, she was 7 months along when her and dad went to take her to the doctor. 20 minutes later, a drunk driver came and crashed into them. It hit my moms side of the car and killed her instantly. Which meant, it killed her baby. Dad had 3 broken bones, a fractured arm, broke ankle, and a broke nose. A minor concussion, 18 stitches in his left leg. And the drunk driver? He died 3 weeks later from a coma. I was at my grandmothers house when all this happened. I was 12 when I really wanted to know what happened that day.
"Really now? What's her name?" I ask Dad.
"Samantha."
"What does she look like?" He shows me a picture. She's tall, not that tan, blonde hair, blue eyes, very beautiful. "She's beautiful, Dad."
"Thanks honey. Do you have any plans tonight?"
I laughed. "Ha! Are you kidding me? I have less of a life than Ted Bundy's victims. Remember? I have no friends. Not a single one?"
"Hey. You'll make friends one day."
"Yeah. When pigs fly."
Dad laughed and gave me a grin. "You just gotta stop being so shy around people."
