Lucas's POV

I was happily playing with my friends when someone called my name.

"Lucas!"

I immediately turned to find the familiar sound that was echoing in the alleyway that I was currently in.

'Oh, it was just Gianna and Bryan' I whispered to myself.

I watched them approach me, their eyes full of enthusiasm, ready to invite me into doing something what I think is fun.

"Let's go ride our bikes!" Bryan said and Gianna just smiled and waited for me to move.

"To where?" I asked curiously.

"Uh... around the neighborhood?" he said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Come on, Lulu," was the last thing I heard when the smiling Gianna went near me and held my hands to drag me.

Well, what can I do? She's my crush. I can't say no to her.

Years have gone by fast and we are already in 10th grade. Gianna and Bryan are my classmates and we're planning to go on the same High School for the next grade.

We were in the cafeteria, talking about our future plans when I suddenly felt something, and it hurts. The first one to notice the pain on my face was Gianna.

I am not much of a talker but the fact that she noticed that I suddenly got quiet because I might have felt something was flattering.

"Hey Lu, are you okay?" Gianna asked worriedly.

"Nah, I'm good Gi," I smiled sincerely at her.

"I just-" I was cut off by the bell ringing.

"Shall we go now, mi Lady?" Bry politely asked Gigi in a 18th century Prince's accent, which made us laugh but the pain got worse when I laughed.

"You can go first guys, I'm just going to go to the comfort room for a sec."

I didn't wait for their answers and went away as fast as I could.

What is this feeling? Why does it hurt so much?

'Am I gonna die?' I shook my head off and thought of a way to get to my mom.

The pain was getting unbearable every seconds passing by, and my head was so painful that I think it's going to explode any time soon. I was feeling restless and beads of sweat kept coming off my body.

My walk was unstable and I tried to get hold of things such as walls to support my weight, feeling dizzy and losing all of my energy, I tried to catch for my breath, it was as if I ran a mile without stopping which is very unlikely to happen 'cause I'm not an athletic person.

The thought of dying never left my brain until I felt my body fell on the ground. The last thing I saw was our front door before everything went to black.

"Your son doesn't deserve this ma'am, he's such a happy person."

"What should we do now, Doc? I think he inherited it from her Grandma, I-"
I can hear my mother's voice cracking in the background.

"Everything will be alright, Sia. Your son is a strong boy, I believe he can handle it."

"I know, but it hurts."

"We'll get through this, Sia. Call me whenever you need me, okay? Now if you'll excuse me."
