Everything That Drowns Me

Chapter 21

*BEN's POV*

Eliza was growing fonder of the mansion as far as I could tell. Alot of them seemed to accept her. The only problems were Masky and Jeff. Jeff didn't so much as "dislike" her. He just doesn't like mortals in general, so he's still a bit iffy.

I walked back to the mansion in silence. My clothes were slightly bloody from the recent kill.

"Hey," she said, smiling at me. I had just gotten back from killing. She always waited at the doorway for me to come home.

"Hey," I said back, giving her a quick kiss. She was accepting my affection now. She would hug and kiss me somtimes. She always wore the necklace; i made sure of it. She still never said she loved me though...

"Ben... Come here." Jack said from the kitchen. I turned to look, but Eliza grabbed my arm. I looked at her with a soft expression and she hesitantly let me go. She followed me into the kitchen and I could see her shaking her head to Jack.

"Ok, what's going on? Someone tell me!" I shouted.

Jack looked at Eliza before pulling out his phone and showing me a video. It started off as a prank they were pulling on Smile.

"What's this have to do with anything?" I asked, annoyed. He just held his finger up to his mouth and said watch.

I watched the video more. The screen shook from Jack's movement, and as he was taping there was a scream. The person filming the video (Jack obviously) ran through the hallway and found the bathroom door open. He walked into the bathroom to see what was happening and that's when I saw it. Eliza was standing in the shower, trying to pull a towel around her and push Masky away at the same time. Masky was holding a metalic object and blood was running down her arm. The phone dropped and the sound of a struggle was made. Finally a thud was heard and Masky fell to the floor.

"Get dressed and get out of the shower. I'll take care of him... Just meet me in the kitchen. We'll fix your arm." I heard Jack say.

"That bastard..." I muttered with clentched teeth.

"B-ben i'm fine really. I'm OK-"

"HE HURT YOU AND I'M GOING TO KILL-"

"BEN!" She shouted. Just as I turned to look at her, I felt a stinging sensation on my right cheek. She slapped me. I just stared at her as she faltered a bit in her words.

"I-i'm sorry Ben, but- but you have to listen a-alright?... I'm ok. The- the last thing you need is a feud. Ok? There shouldn't b-be any trouble... It's over..."

I felt Jack lay a hand on my shoulder slightly shaking me, telling me it will be alright and that he had my back.

"Benjamin," a voice sounded from the doorway. "We have some matters to discuss..."

I turned around and saw Slender, with Masky standind behind him.
