You know that guy that sits in the corner that no one really notices and he has no friends but he's there just taking notes, that's me Jesse James Hilary. I'm not the most popular kid in school and I certainly never have been, but I'm definitely not the kid that gets bullied. Now your gonna think I'm a skinny nerdy person with bad social skills, which mind you is totally wrong. I'm actually a well built nerd with alright social skills. Ok I might be abut harsh saying I'm a nerd, I only call myself that cause all I do is study which I will be happy to occupy myself with something else if I could. I'm one of those people who would take any opportunity that would change his life but I never get any opportunity like that.

I'm kind of just there and that's it. I have no purpose other than to get grades and act, yes I'm a great actor and it what I want to be when I grow up since I have been acting my whole life. it was one of those boring first day at your new school were you expect that you will make new friends but you just end up sitting alone in class and hoping someone will notice you which never happens, well at least very rarely cause it did once. Which it changed everything.

He came in late about 5 minutes and passed a note to the teacher and explained why he was late then he looked straight over to me, well at least I thought he was cause there was no one near me. We held eye contact for about 1.5 seconds but I thought nothing of it cause it was probably the only time we would even make contact, but then he looked over at the chair next to me and strolled over and sat next to me. At this point I was thinking it was only for the day cause there was no other seats, when really there was tons, so why me? Class started and the teacher jotted down notes at 100m/ph I swear but I kept up and then he had to rub them off so we could watch a movie on the projector. The guy next to me nudged me and asked if he could copy my notes, I said yes and he took my notes and said with the most confidence I have ever heard in a voice, "You have neat writing." as he put his head down to write I thanked him and watched the teacher struggle to get the movie working on the projecter as I intensely waited for the guy next to me to break the ice.

"Stewart is the name by the way. What's yours?"
Finally ice broken. He sits there looking into my eyes.

"Jesse" I say with a grin

He passes my notes back
"Do you like sports?"

"Yeah, I like..."

"Sweet, play any?"

"Yeah, I guess. I played rugby once"

"Oh that's awesome I am actually part of a rugby team."

"That's pretty cool." I say looking at his muscles they are huge, I should have guessed with muscles like that of course he is a rugby player.

"Are you any good at rugby?"

"Yeah I'm pretty fast and tackle pretty hard."

"Ha you sound like an awesome rugby player!"

"I only played for a week."

"How many games did you win?"

"4/5."

"That's pretty damn good!"

The bell rang and everyone ran out the door so we were last to leave.

"Do you have English next with Mr Henderson?"

"Yeah I do."

"Awesome ill see you next class."

He walked off towards his locker and I walked the other way. I couldn't believe I just made a new friend and he was the one who sat next to me. He had broken the ice and pretty damn well too.

Now don't get me wrong just because I was starting at a new school didn't necessarily mean I had no friends, about a dozen of us transferred here to try and get a fresh start. I had about 4 female friends and 2 male friends and they new everything and I mean Everything. At recess I had 25 minutes to find them and tell them about Stewart which would take more than 25 minutes but I would probably summarise the class in 3 words "the best class".

So I finally found my friends well at least one of them and she was just the one to tell, Sarah the most understanding one of all and she understood everything so I told her everything about this first class. It took 15 minutes but she listened to every word then told me she had to go to her locker so I thought I would go to my locker too and to my next class as I crossed my fingers hoping my friend Stewart would be there.
