She'd laugh quietly at his expression.
"Yeah.. We kinda wanted to go for a more cozy sort of style than clean and modern looking... Hope its alright."
"Are you joking? This is maybe the nicest and most comfortable places I've ever seen!" He'd shout suddenly, looking around at the furniture. Their home wasn't that big but there where quite a few large windows to let in natural light and for a nice view. They had string lights hung up and around the place, a more sandy brown colored walls, soft, plush looking couches, and posters or pictures hung up on the walls. On the immediate left was the kitchen, which was fairly small with a small island. Directly forward was a large window looking out to the town, and a sky light above the door. Over by the window where two couches, a glass end table and a TV up against the wall, quite a few pictures and some posters on the walls around the area. To the left almost behind the couches, was a short hall leading to two small rooms, on the right was another short hall leading to a small extra room and a very small bathroom that barely fit a shower, toilet, and sink.
"So, I guess your room will be in the right hallway. My mom and I's is in the left hallway." Derek would nod, going down the hall to check out his new room. Ianthe would then sit down on the couch, turning on the TV while she waited for Derek to get situated.
"Hey, I think I might take a shower? I kinda need one.." Ianthe could barely hear Derek mutter from the hall.
"Okay, do you want me to wash your clothes really quick while you're in there so you have fresh clothes for now, until we buy you new ones?"
"Uhm... Okay... Sure..." Derek would shuffle into the bathroom, closing the door, a few moments later the door would crack open and his clothes would be dropped outside before he closed the door again, getting in the shower.
A door would open and a familiar voice would call out the names of the two currently passed out teens who were on the couch.
"Hey.. You guys didn't come down when I closed for dinner-... Oh.." Ms. Vila would close the door behind her a little in awe of the two who where on opposite sides of the couch sleeping peacefully while the TV played. She guessed they both must've taken showers since their hair looked wet. Ms. Vila would laugh quietly a Ianthe who was half hanging off the side of the couch.
(Kind of a short chapter, sorry but there you go.)
