The morning light shone through the cracked curtains of the room which Serena slept in, shining in her eyes and waking her up, despite her desperate pleas to fall back to sleep. Groaning loudly, she looked around the room, the scent of late night coffee mixed with rain and sweat filled the air letting her know that her brothers were in here not long ago. She sat up, rubbing her sore eyes tiredly as the thin lavender sheets pooled around her waist, the oversized shirt she wore to bed now hanging off her one shoulder. Throwing the sheets to the side, Serena kicked her feet to the floor and stood up, slowly walking to her wardrobe in the corner of the room, she opened the doors and pulled out her faded black skinny jeans, pairing it with her white tank top that was tight around her chest and then flows down to her waist. Finally taking her black leather jacket, she tied it around her slim waist and sighed softly. Serena looked at her reflection in the mirror, a small gasp escaped her parted lips as she stared at her pink tear stained cheeks, the puffs under her eyes and the tangled mess she calls her hair. Sighing softly she applied her makeup gently, hiding her late night cries from the world once more and brushed her pure silver hair, letting it fall naturally over her shoulders. Taking her bag from the cold hardwood floor, she headed out of her room and downstairs to see Caspian sitting at the table, newspaper in hand and an empty plate in front of him.
Caspian looked up from his morning read to see his little sister standing there, his eyebrow raising at her choice of outfit before letting out a sigh and shaking his head, his blond hair falling in front of his face "Just once little sis, I'd love to drop you off at school and not worry" he said before standing up and heading to the fridge, taking out a paper bag and smirked"Easton made you lunch today, it's your favourite i think, chicken salad sandwhich with a Dr. Pepper. Kane said he will pick you up after school since I have my volleyball match and Easton will be at the library." he said softly before walking to Serena handing her the bag and kissing her forehead and sighing as he ushered her out of the house.
Serena let out a small chuckle as she walked beside Caspian to their Black Ford Tundra truck, hugging his side as they walked. She loved her brothers, even if they were a little overprotective of her at times. Hopping into the passenger seat she looked over at Caspian and smiled softly reaching over and letting her hand rest of his forearm "You don't have to worry about me Cas, Kwang-Sun will be with me most of the day and besides, I grew up with three brothers, I know how to defend myself" she said rolling her eyes as she took out her phone and sent a quick thank you message to Easton.
The entire car ride was spent with music filling the once quiet air, and the laughter of two people connecting; time being boundless to them. As Caspian dropped Serena off at school, he quickly got out of the truck and made his way to her before pulling her into his arms and embraced her strongly, his face buried within her neck. "I'll see you later little sis, be good and be safe. Call me if anything happens and I'll be here in no time" he said softly pulling back and kissing her forehead once more before stepping back into the truck and driving off.
Serena smiled softly as she wrapped her own arms around Caspian waist, burying her face into his chest and taking in his scent. Musk cologne filled her nose as it mixed with the cool breeze body wash he obviously used that morning. She simply nodded her head and watched her brother drive away before walking through the large blue doors of Medina High. The heels of her knee length black leather boots clicked against the floor as she headed to her locker, only to see it surrounded by the football team, causing her to roll her eyes. Serena had the unfortunate fate of having her locker beside the captain of the football team, which meant every day she had to force herself through the crowd to her locker. Suddenly, a strong arm slipped over her shoulders, pulling her into the person's side. Serena smiled as the scent of cigarette smoke mixed with a citrus cologne filled her nose, letting her know that her best friend was the one who invaded her once peaceful space.
"Soooo, you aren't going to tell your three posessive brothers about the ten wonderful looking men that crowd your locker every morning?" He asked jokingly knowing that the minute she did hell would open up and break loose.
Serena shook her head as she began to walk to her locker looking up at Kwang-Sun and smirked "oh sure, as soon as you tell Emerald your locker is right in the middle of cheer avenue over there" she laughed raising her eyebrow at the mention of Kwang-Suns girlfriend who went to another school
Kwang-Sun lifted his arm away from her shoulder and put his hands in the air, surrendering quickly "come on now! No need to bring her into this! It's not like I chose that locker man!" He said his eyes fearful knowing that Emerald would no doubt give him the silent treatment again if she found out.
Shaking her head, and letting a small laugh escape her pink lips she walked over to her locker, pushing her way through the sea of sweat smelling jocks that stood in her way. Finally making it she opened her locker and grabbed her books letting out a sigh of relief. Suddenly, she was pushed up against her locker, her books now scattered onto the floor around her as two strong hands were on either side of her face. Standing in front of her was the captain of the football team, his body caging her in as he looked down at her with lustful eyes
"Mate." He growled burying his face into her neck, taking in her sweet scent of lavender and peaches
Kwang-Sun eyes widen at the single world the football player spoke, hissing harshly as he ran his hand through his hair. "Oh shit"
