Chapter 23

We were walking from the mall towards Jaxx's car.
*bing*

*bing*

"Who's blowing you up like that?" Jaxx said through gritted teeth. I rolled my eyes knowing his over possessive alpha side is coming out. "Oh I don't know, could I have time to possibly check it?"

He puffed out some air in annoyance. When I opened it I should have known it was him.

'I have to say looking into your eyes today made me feel like I was home again.'

'To know that I was so close to you and your so called alpha couldn't protect you was beyond words my love.'

'Do you know who this is yet?'

'Meet me by hot topic at the west end of the mall. If you don't want your mother to come into anymore harm don't tell lover boy.'

The last text drained all the color from my face. But I had to go I couldn't leave her.

"It was just Carley trying to tell me something Nate had done. But I have to go to the bathroom I'll meet you at the car. Okay?"

Jaxx just nodded his head and continued to drag my many bags of stuff to the car. God, when he was good to me he was really good to me. Maybe that's why I felt this pang of guilt at going to meet my tormentor.

But I finally knew who it was! I had to go see for myself. I hurried into the entrance closest to us. We were parked on the east side of the mall, I had to run to the west. Maybe I'll have the upper advantage here, maybe he doesn't know I shifted. I mean my mom is human,so doesn't that mean I had a chance at being human?

Who knows that's another thing I'm going to have to ask enisi when I see her. I'm suppose to go over tomorrow to hear her out on the whole shifting early and finding my mate before my birthday thing.

As I approached the west end of the mall I could see the entrance of hot topic, but nobody was there. I stopped in front of the double door opening to my favorite store. I looked around, wishing he would just come on already.

Before I knew what was happening I felt something stick me in the back of my neck. "What the hell!" Was all I could say before it went dark.

I could see glimpses of everything passing by. My body falling in and out of consciousness as I tried to fight against it. God my neck hurt! How deep did they stab that thing? I could see trees and clouds speeding by me at an inhuman pace. How are they moving so fast? Oh wait I'm on a car seat, okay that make sense.

God Rox snap out of it! You need to somehow find help. As my mind slowly drained itself from the drunk state I was in I realized I had options. Where's my phone?

I felt around my pockets, nothing. Fuck! I must have dropped it. My mind started to go fuzzy again before I remembered I could mind link.
'Dad?'
'I'm in a meeting what's wrong love?'

I could only handle three words before I was passed out again.

'Kamron got me.'

'Who's-'

He was cut off, I couldn't hold my head up let alone hold a conversation right now. I just want to go to sleep. Yes, sleep sounds good.

"God what does she eat Kamron she's heavy!"

"Just shut up and carry her! We have to get her inside before someone notices her!"

I felt my body being moved through the air. Oh wait, I'm just being carried. Where am I? How long have I been out?

"Hurry and get the wolfsbane before she wakes up and does that freaky mind link thing with her pack."

The voices dropped me, and not easily may I add, onto a concrete floor. I groaned in pain. But I had to mind link my dad.
