------------Two years ago----------------
It was a stormy night. The wind was howling outside. Anna was asleep. Elsa was curled up next to the living room fireplace reading a book. Suddenly, there was knocking on the door. Gerda, one of the maids in the castle, came in. 'Your highness? There is an old lady at the castle door. She's starving and freezing. Shall I let her in?'
Elsa nodded. 'Of course. I shall go attend to her.'

She set the book on the floor, got up and strode downstairs to the ginormous doors to the castle. The old lady was in rags, and looked like she hadn't washed for days. Homeless, probably. 'Please, come in. I will fetch you a blanket. What would you like to eat?' Elsa lead the old lady to the dining room, where she had the servants prepare extravagant gourmet dishes for her. The old lady looked unsure about the food, and ate slowly. Elsa was beginning to worry. Was it not good enough?

She brought her to the fireplace, letting her warm up. Elsa readjusted her gloves. She was worried about letting the old lady know of her powers. What would she think?

The old lady stood, straightened up, and in a blinding flash, turned into a beautiful enchantress. 'Queen Elsa, you have proven yourself worthy. Your heart is pure. You showed me much kindness. Other people would have done otherwise.
In return for your hospitality, I gift you a magic candle. It shows you the length of your life. As you age, it becomes shorter, and will only extinguish if you choose to freeze it with your ice powers. Then you will, naturally, die. It holds many magical properties, but you will come to know of them in time. Now, I shall go. Thank you for everything, Elsa.'
------------------Now----------------------
Elsa stood in her room, staring at the magic candle encased in a glass dome. A tear rolled down her cheek. She looked at the painting of her parents on her bedroom wall. What would they think if they knew the truth? Elsa knew that this couldn't go on any longer. She wasn't a responsible queen. How could she rule a kingdom if she couldn't be honest?

And Anna. What would she think of her if Elsa told her how she really felt? It wasn't right. This can't go on any longer. Elsa both loved and hated her life, but she couldn't help herself. Hatred overweighed. She let out a sigh. She removed the glass case. Slowly lifting her hands, she started to suffocate the candle with frost. It slowly crawled over the candle, until, the flame was extinguished. The candle let out a tiny, light blue glow.

Ice shot out from it. It hit Elsa's heart. She fell on the ground.
'Elsa!' Anna burst in. Her eyes glided over from Elsa to the candle. They widened. 'Elsa! Don't you dare!' She ran over to Elsa's side. Her eyes were moist. 'Y-you'll be fine Elsa. I know it!'

'No, I won't. I'm going to die. And you're going to let it happen.'
'No Elsa, I'm not going to give up on you.'
Anna's hand brushed against Elsa's cheek.

'What is it? Why are you so unhappy?'

'I love you, Anna. But- you don't love me.'
'Elsa, you're my sister. Of course I love you.'

'Anna, I love you... as in in a sexual way. Every time I look at you, I try to hide my smile. When you're upset, I want to comfort you and kiss your beautiful full lips. When you're mad, I want to hold you in my arms and tell you everything will be okay.'

Anna stared at Elsa. 'W-when did you start to feel this way...'

'When I first saw you at coronation. Y-you were so much more beautiful than I imagined. Ahh!'
Elsa clutched at her chest. She noticed that her legs started to have frost on them.

'You're freezing! Oh Elsa.... I love you too. The ice is reaching your heart! Elsa...'
Anna's eyes were filled with tears. Elsa wiped them away with her thumb. Slowly, Anna pressed her lips to Elsa's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Elsa's whole body was iced over. Anna's hands clapped over her mouth. She sobbed, collapsing on Elsa's frozen body. Elsa was lost forever! Whatever would Anna do without her? Anna thought. And all that time, I didn't know how Elsa felt. It's all my fault!

When Anna lifted her head up, she noticed that the frost on Elsa's heart was starting to melt. Just like what had happened before!

When Elsa was fully revived, Anna wrapped her arms around her sister.
'Oh Elsa! I love you so much, I promise I'll never let you go.'
Elsa beamed. 'Nor shall I.'
Anne looked up at Elsa's gleaming blue eyes, and kissed her sister.
