It's bright.
That kind of irritates Nashi, who just wants to sleep. She gets it from her father. She opens her eyes only to find the blanket and cover her eyes from the blinding light of the sun. She was just about to sleep when...
"Nashi! Get down here! Breakfast is ready!"
She snaps open her eyes to the sound of her mother. She groaned as she sat up.
"Hold on, Ma! I gotta get ready!" Nashi calls down.
Downstairs, Lucy, Nashi's mother, sighed.
"What am I going to do with that girl?" She turns her head towards her husband, "She's just like you."
"Huh?"
Natsu looks over to Lucy with a confused, yet surprised, expression after he stopped stuffing his face.
"What'cha talkin' about, Luce?" Natsu says, looking away, sweating, while Lucy glares at him.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about, you idiot!"
"Hey!"
Lucy chuckles a bit, before speaking up.
"You know, this is peaceful. I never thought I could end up with the oh so powerful -and childish- Natsu."
"And I never thought I could end up with such a beautiful girl like you, Luce."
Lucy blushed at his statement before denying it with her arms flailing. Natsu smirks and brings himself to a stand. He makes his way towards the counter where she stood. He backed her into the counter with his hands on it to either side of her, leaving her nowhere to run. His face is serious now, while hers was a bright red.
"Uh, Natsu...?"
He leans down and closes the distance between them, moving one of his hands from the counter to her forearm, the other in her hair. The kiss was passionate, filling them both with heat. When Natsu pulled away they were both breathing a little heavily, their eyes staring intently to one another. Natsu lets go of Lucy's arm and turns to walk away before looking over his shoulder.
"Don't ever deny that you're beautiful, Luce, or maybe I'd have to go even farther." Natsu smiled his toothy grin towards her and she smiled back. Natsu turned his head to a now crying Luke. He picked him up and bounced him around a little, calming him down.
"I'm not gonna lie, I was kinda surprised to find out you were a good and responsible father." Lucy says after watching the whole thing.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Natsu asked with a genuinly confused look as he puts down his four year-old son.
"Nothing."
Just then, a pink haired girl came barreling downstairs.
"Hey, kiddo! It's about time ya showed up!"
"I wasn't that long, Dad!"
"Sure it was. Now sit down and eat your breakfast!"
"Of course, Ma."
She sat down as she was told and looked towards her father's plate as she lifts her fork to her mouth.
"You finished your food already! You promised to wait until everyone was here!"
"Well, you were being slow."
They glared at each other. Lucy told them to stop acting like children.
Nashi suddenly got up after finishing her food. Everyone looked towards her, even the fussy little Luke.
"Alright! Let's head to the guild!" She laughed as she ran outside.
"She really is your daughter, huh?" Lucy said as she sweatdropped while her eyebrow was twitching. Natsu got up from his spot at the table and held out a hand towards Lucy. She took it and he lifted her on to her feet. He placed a small kiss on her lips.
"Yeah."
With that, they headed out the door hand in hand. Luke was on Natsu's shoulders. He loved piggyback rides. They caught up to the now stopped Nashi. She was waiting for them. They all walked in a comfortable silence to the guild.
