"Silence!" the brown tabby she-cat, leader of ShadowClan, hissed, ordering the gathered cats to stop talking.
"ShadowClan has an announcement to make." She licked her paw before passing it behind her ear. She looked at the WindClan leader, her eyes fierce as ever.
Breezestar, the WindClan leader, shifted uncomfortably in his place.
"We've caught multiple WindClan patrols in our territory. Care to explain Breezestar?" the fierce ShadowClan leader turned to Breezestar, who was looking down at his paws in shame.
"We... We have been having trouble with prey. The Twolegs and their dogs have taken over the moorland, we have no way to hunt." The small leader flexed his claws, looking away.
"I said you weren't allowed to hunt in ShadowClan territory, Breezestar!" Tigerstar spat, ShadowClan cats drew their lips back in a snarl.
Spidersnap kneaded the ground, she was worried for Poppyflower. She couldn't let her friend go through this alone!
ShadowClan has to help! Spidersnap thought, as she unsheated her claws.
She tried to spot Poppyflower in the clearing full of cats. There she is!
She padded to her, her tail low, trying to hide her excitement.
"Poppyflower!"
The brown and white WindClan warrior turned her head toward Spidersnap, a smile appeared on her face, her eyes shining with happiness.
"Spidersnap!" She stood up, her tail held high.
She touched muzzles with her friend. Spidersnap's heart ached for her friend. She wished she could just take Poppyflower to ShadowClan, where she would be safe and well-fed.
"Please, take care..." Spidersnap murmured, embracing Poppyflower's sweet scent.
"I will" Poppyflower promised, but Spidersnap wasn't too happy with the answer.
She heard Tigerstar call for her Clan, so she ran toward them. Before crossing the fallen tree back to the swamp in RiverClan's territory, Spidersnap looked over her shoulder, Poppyflower was staring at her, her eyes dull with sadness.
