Chapter 16:

Fang POV:

It was morning and the flock and I were ready. Before hand, we had eaten pretzels and snapples from a corner food stand and we're currently walking towards Itex headquarters. We made our way to 25th street and down to the subway. We road til we reached 32nd and got off. Crossing the street we stopped at a town house which to any local resident would appear to be normal, we however sout differently.
I'm not sure what I was thinking when I decided the best entrance would be through the front door, but I forbided to doubt myself.

We entered, yes, walked casually through the front doors of Itex, no weapons or disguises at our grasp. Of course we were prepared for battle, but from an outside eye we seemed at our leisure.

When we entered glorious gold walls coated in hand crafted crystals blinded our eyes. Looking ahead there was a mahogany front desk assorted with numerous trinkets to decorate the desk. Looking up you saw a grand staircase twinning up and up till the top of the building was reached and stained glass dazzled remarkably. I was puzzled. Itex although no doubt a wealthy company seemed to go out of its way to assorted such a fine building for such gruesome tasks.

As the flock and I began forward toward the desk we all stiffened. No one was there and besides seeming extremely suspicious we were still stunned we had not been approached yet. I looked back at the flock making eye contact with each one of them making sure they knew their duties.

Leaving the main hall I decided to get this wondering agony over with. We ac ended up the staircase. Unlike most spiral staircases that never stop till you reach the destination, this one stopped right as you would start a new layer. At that point a flat circular surface with white doors that had navy blue perimeters outlined the hall. Looking up this pattern happened again and again till the stained glass ceiling was reached. I swiftly stepped off the last step and made my way to the door. Hesitating just slightly I reached for the gold doorknob. Turning clockwise I expected an ungodly seen. It did not move. Trying again and again while attempting to keep my cool along with the quietness the dumbfounding dome provided, it finally made sense. Once again I grasped the gold doorknob and this time turned counter clockwise. Slowly and with sheer calmness I creaked the door open. Before my eyes I saw what I'd never seen before. I now understood why they built such a beautiful building. To sweep the mind of what had just been seen, when you counter turned the gold doorknob on the white door with a navy blue perimeter. Pure evil
