The Big Dance

Peyton's POV

Monday Two Weeks Later......

Its the beginning of October, everything with Kris and I were getting along fine but I was getting too big for my jeans I just stopped wearing them and wore my leggings until I went to the mall to by some more jeans.

I walked to my locker with Maddie to grab my stuff.

"How was your weekend?"

"Boring like always."

"You wanna hang out this week?"

"Sure with the girls?"

"Maybe."

We stood at my locker until the bell rung, we walked in class and sat in the back the rest of the girls came in and sat near us but apart so the guys could sit with us but like always they come in loud laughing and talking about football practice.

"Hello ladies." John greeted us sitting down next to Elena.

"Yeah dude were so going to dominate this week." Daniel said sitting down.

"Hey." Kris whispered in my ear.

"Hey."

The teacher walked in like he always does.

"Good morning class."

"Good morning." Most of us said and mumbled.

"We will be doing a project this week."

Most of the the class cheered.

"For this project you will be doing a timeline, I expect everything including the decor to fit the timeline that you will be assigned. You may pick your own groups but it will be groups of four and all of the work will be done outside of school."

After the teacher finished explaining and assigning timelines we moved into our groups it was Me, Maddie, Elena, and Taylor. The guys were mad because we didn't want to work with them and they said their project was going to be better than ours so we decided to make a bet if we lose the guys have to do whatever we wanted, but if they won we had to spend fall break with them. In the guy's group were Kris, Daniel, John, and Matt like always.

Beep! Beep!

The announcements bell went off.

"Can we stand for the pledge of allegiance." We all stood up and said the pledge of allegiance, when we sat down they started with the announcements.

"Good morning Knights this week is a very important week we have our annual Sadie Hawkins Dance but for awhile its been this dance were switching it up guys you will be asking a girl, but here's the catch the theme is a masquerade Cinderella theme guys you will receive a glass slipper this afternoon the student council will be delivering them to your classrooms ladies the only way you'll be invited to this dance is if a guy gives you a glass slipper this is your ticket to the dance guys if you lose it you won't get another one. So Knights go and ask your princess before they get taken! And in other news there will be a contest for best way asking your girls to the dance, and there will be a football game this Friday against Pacific High Let's Go Knights!"

The announcements ended and the girls around the class started talking.

First period ended Maddie and I started walking to home etc.

"Peyton aren't you excited for the dance!" Maddie squealed.

"No, not really."

"Why?"

"Do you know how stressful this two weeks are going to be for me?"

"Oh yeah I'm sorry Pey I didn't think about how you would feel, but it's okay if you don't get asked I won't go."

"I really don't want to go if I get asked and you don't then its the same way."

Kris's POV

It was towards the end of the day guys were asking girls left and right. I didn't want to really want to go to this dance but if I don't she won't get asked.

"Dude who are you going to ask?"

"No one yet."

"Why? Choices are dropping fast"

"Honestly dude I could care less about this dance and who wants to go it's all a joke."

We did drills all day practice I was so tired I thought sitting in meetings all day were tiring but actually their not, I went home and got in the shower when i got out walked down stairs to get some food when my phone went off. I let it go off but it just kept ringing, I looked at the caller I.D. and answered it.

"Yes Pey?" I asked.

"Hello to you too." She said.

"I'm sorry what's is it you called for?"

"Well I was wondering if we could go get some ice cream?"

"Peyton we can go in the morning before school tomorrow."

"But I want some now." She whined.

"Too bad you'll have to wait til tomorrow."

"I wont be craving it anymore if I wait until tomorrow please Kris its for the baby." I stopped pulling out the pots.

"Fine, and only because you pulled the baby card be ready in ten." I said while walking to my keys to the Escalade.
