Prompt: You are the extremely powerful child of the last two superheroes. Your significant other is the equally powerful middle child of the villain family. You both know each other’s positions, but no one knows about your relationship.
The protagonists should end up together, and the villains are to be killed by the superheroes' child end of the story.
Story:
"Adriana... I'm scared.. what if they find out?" Giselle paces across the room. "Well then we won't let them. I'm not gonna let your family or my family get inbetween us." Adriana stands from Giselle bed and stops her. Giselle refuses to look up. "Look at me." Giselle hesitantly faces Adriana. "No one. And I mean no one will ever get between us. I won't let them. I love you so much, I want to be with you until the day I die." Adriana cups her cheek and leans down to kiss her but Giselle looks away. "I love you too but you know we can't.. I'll be dead if they find out.." Adriana pulls away from her. "If you really loved me, then you would try. You would take the risk. But I guess not.." Adriana walks to the window sill where a rope is placed securely around a nail. Adriana puts one foot out of the window so she's straddling the frame, her long black hair flowing through the wind. She grips the rope tightly before jumping down, leaving Giselle standing there on the verge of tears. "I love you." Adriana whispers before leaving Giselle's yard. "I love you.." Giselle whispers to herself. She walks to her bed and crouches, taking a framed photo from underneath her matress. "I love you so much you don't even know it.." she hugs the framed photograph of them.
Meanwhile...
"Honey, you heard it to right?" Giselle's mother, Harper, turns away from the stove to face her husband. Giselle's father, Zander, looks up from the paper he was reading and places down his glasses. "Giselle? Yes I did, why must it concern us?" He looks at his wife. "Well, do you know the name of the Paladin's second child?" Zander's eyes widen. "You can't be serious.." Harper turns back to the stove. "Well I am. Our daughter has been seeing the child of our enemy." Harper turns off the stove. "How could she betray us like this?!" Zander stands up, ready to confront his daughter. "No, she might just be our ticket to finally beating Paladin and his children! Think about it!" Zander sits back down. "I'm listening.." Harper walks to the island and faces him. "I have a plan." And so the planning begins..
-the next day-
Giselle wakes up silently and prepares. After pondering about it last night, she figured she'd go out and buy Adriana something to apologize. Giselle gathers the money she saved supposedly for herself and her phone. 'I better be quiet or else they'll hear me..' Giselle thought as she slowly levitates herself off the ground and opens a portal to 3 blocks away from her house. She walks through it and carefully closes it afterwards, wary not to make a sound so her parents don't wake up. She walks down the street to the shops. She walks around for a little, looking at the items on display, hoping to find something she's satisfied with giving to her dear lover. She finally stopped at one store, the jewelry store. What caught her eye? The two promise rings with hearts engraved on the outer parts of the rings. 'maybe they can personalize it..' she thinks to herself as she enters the store. "Hello! How may I be of assistance!" A cheery girl with flaming red hair chirps from behind one of the many counters. "Oh yes uhm, I saw those p-promise rings outside and I was wondering if you had stock?" Giselle goes to where the girl is. "Ah yes we do actually! It's $200 for both rings and it also comes with free engraving." The girl smiles. "O-Oh, in that case I'll take a pair." Giselle takes out her money and gives it to the girl. "Ok! What names would you like to embrace on them?" The girl takes out 2 rings from a nearby counter. "Uhm, Giselle and Adriana." Giselle grips her purse. "Alright! I'll have them out in 15 minutes! You could wait here if you want or just come back for them." The girl picks up the pillow the 2 rings are placed on. "I'll come back for them, I'll just eat breakfast." The girl nods and Giselle walks out the door. Giselle walks to the nearest cafe and eats her breakfast.
-15 minutes later-
Giselle walks back to the store and walks in. The same red-head greets her and shows her a small box with a ribbon secureing it and their names in beautiful calligraphy on the top of the box. "I decided to go a little extra and write your names on the top. Please excuse the ugly writing." The girl sheepishly hands Giselle the box. "You're handwriting is beautiful! Here, a little tip as thank you." Giselle hands her $20. "T-Thank you so much! Have a great day!" The girl waves to Giselle as Giselle exits the store. After 5 minutes, Giselle's parents walk in the store. "Did you do it Maya?" Zander asks the girl. "Y-yes sir." Maya looks down. "Thank you dear. This is for a good cause I promise." Harper smiles at Maya before they leave the store. 'Did I do the right thing? I should be thinking that, they're heroes, they want the best for the city. But I can't help but feel like something isn't right..' Maya ponders before another customer walks in.
Giselle arrives at the park where she told Adriana to meet up. Adriana arrives after 30 minutes in an oversized hoodie and boots. "What is it Giselle?" Adriana looks at her lover. "I-I thought about what you said yesterday and I came to the conclusion that I really love you and I'm willing to take the risk. To prove that, I snuck out earlier and got you something." Giselle takes out the box and opens it, showing Adriana the rings. "One for each of us. I vow in the name of these promise rings that I will love you eternally, even if we aren't on this Earth anymore. I promise to always be there for you. I promise to never keep anything from you. I promise you that you will always be number one in my heart and I will always stay loyal to you, no matter what happens." She places the rings on their fingers. Giselle looks up to see Adriana on the verge of tears. "Oh nonono don't cry-" Giselle panics before Adriana pulls her into a hug, placing her head on Giselle's. Giselle smiles and looks up, kissing Adriana's chin. Adriana laughs as she feels tickled. "How did I get so lucky to be with you." Adriana hugs Giselle even tighter.
-at home- {Giselle}
"Hey Elle, get you're super suit, we're going on a mission." Zander says from the attic. "H-Huh, what mission?" Giselle says confused. "We know where the Paladin's hideout is!" Harper appears. "W-Wow! W-who're your sources?" Giselle asks a little aggressively. "Why, you are dear." Giselle widens her eyes. "H-Huh?! What do you mean?!" Giselle's frantically asks her parents. "Well, we found out about you and his middle child. But don't worry we aren't mad! You've actually helped us. We installed a gps on Adrian's ring and tracked down her location. We're gonna take down our biggest enemy arent you excited!" Harper skips to where her husband is and climbs up to him. 'oh no oh no oh no..' Giselle runs to her room and calls Adriana. "Adriana I'm so sorry omygod .." Giselle says on the verge of tears. "Woah woah wait.. why?" Adriana replies confused. "M-my parents, they p-put a gps i-into y-your ring.. you're f-family is in d-danger." The only thing audible from Adriana's line is heavy breathing. "I-its ok it's not your fault.. but i-i don't want to die Giselle, not without marrying you.." Giselle keeps quiet for a little. "Escape. Run. Bring your siblings if you want. Just escape. Text me tomorrow about your whereabouts. I have to go." Giselle hangs up and puts on her super suit.
-5 years later-
Adriana sits with a little boy on a porch as the sun sets, waiting for Giselle to return from work. What happened you maybe asking? Well, after Giselle's parents killed Paladin and Adriana's older brother, Giselle and Adriana ran away to another country. Adriana's younger sibling became a villain and now Giselle's parents are fighting him. The two however got married and adopted a baby boy named Elliot. They now live peacefully in the suburbs of a low-lying state, no action happening but that's alright with them because they're happy and fulfilled their promises to each other.
