THE DRIFT

chapter one (1)

"Mary can we talk please we need to settle some issues please "those words still ring raw on Mary's mind and if time could be turned back she would do so the only thing in her mind is how life has played a good lyrics and a best tune to dance along with .one month after the sudden death of her mother she seats and searched her thoughts trying to recreate an image of her magical,precious and wonderfull moments of her mum she cries on remembering the last conversation with her dear mum who she considered as a trust- worthy and a good friend turned a total disaster.

Two months of mourning and regret she decided to move on accept what had happened.one morning while she was at the library store doing her usual work of helping  people on researching books there looking for there came a man who was well body shaped ,he was tall,he had tattoos on his hands,he was brown in colour and had long and we'll kept dreadlocks,his chest was broad and  very attracting.

On his arrival in e library Mary could not stop looking at the guy not only did Mary give him a silly and a sheepish look but also the girls who were in the library had totally forgotten  what there were doing early on and gazed at the guy. The guy became aware of the look he was been given by the girls in the library and in order to break the monotony and okward stare that he was given ,he cleared his throat as if he was making one realize he is actually areal human being and he asked mary "Excuse me miss where can l get books only concerning medic's "he asked. Mary could not believe what she was seeing a cute young guy his looks made her forget what he asked,a few minutes pasted by as she was still giving the guy a silly kind of look."Excuse me did you hear  what l asked you," he asked. it was then that Mary's mind came back from fantasy and she replied with confusion and uncertainty yes sir l mean no l mean yes l know.mary leads the way and show's the guy the books he inquired of just before she was about to leave in order to allow the guy to read the guy introduced himself "my name is Trevor and thanks for helping me out,"she replied without no hesitation like she was really waiting for that moment and I'm mediately after replying welcome she gave a quick turn and was heading back to her desk.

She heard Trevor ask and if you don't mind can you please tell me your name miss.Turning back to him she did introduce herself " my name is Mary Tylor,"and after saying her name in bold and confidence she turned and left to get back to her station of work. Woaw he was so amazed never in his life had he seen such a beauty and such characters that Mary has,he was impressed and after a short while he smiled and nodded his head as to ascertain something that has amazed him.later on he quietly sits on a bench and starts doing his research on what he had came to do ,time passed on quickly that he lost track that it was know late.suddenly he looks at his watch,"shit it's 7:39 pm am surely late and l had promised my sister l will arrive early she will really get made at me,"he quickly gets up and packs his books in the bag pack he had an without wasting time he was know storming out of the library like he was going to beat up someone but before he had left he passed by where Mary's desk was and told her will see  you tomorrow.And after saying that he took his leave.

Time passed on quickly and it was it for Mary close the library and head home to have a sleep after along and triesome day.looking at her wrist watch "Ghosh it's 10:30 pm today l have closed so late l hope will get a bus that will take me home,"on arrival at the bus station she sits quietly on the bench and she reaches in into her bag to get out her phone she plugs in her ear phones and starts listening to her favorite station minutes later a bus arrives and she a boards it.After an hour drive to her destination she a lits from the bus and walks  on the street that leads to were she stays minutes later she arrives at the apartment that she stays.she takes the stares case up till the  third floor,on arrival at her doorway she gets the keys from her jacket pocket and opens the door.
She closes the door behind her and she moves in a slow motion movement  towards the chair arm and she sits down, minutes later she realizes that her stomach was complaining of hunger she moves towards the kitchen and prepares something to eat.After the meal she walked to her bedroom and went to the bathroom to have a shower.later on she retires to her bed to get rest but before she could close her beautiful eyes she could not stop thinking of Trevor he was all she ever wanted in her dream man."man he is damn 🔥🔥,"she told herself and after a few minutes she was sound asleep.
