It's two o'clock the party's at its peak showing no signs of stopping, with his hand on his waistband and his eyes on the lively party Marco Studies the room with his empty eyes.

He scans the room intensely and furrows his brows in what seems like deep frustration. Sami puts his dense hand on Marcos tense shoulder and whispers some chilling words into his ear. Without looking back Marco leaves the room, Johnny stays positioned against the wall almost like a vulture hunting hungrily for something .

Feeling suffocated by the masses partying, I open the large french doors and enter the desolate veranda. My backs turned to the party and now facing the street which only had the moon coupled with single street lights decorating it.

I sat on the stairs to rest my overworked body, the porch looked like it had never the seen daylight in years. My eyes found a pot of lilies that had been spread out across the ground, I softly took my hands out of my large warming jacket, collected the flowers and placed them back into their ancient pots which homed their failed escape.

Whilst doing this in innocent deed, in the corner of my eye I noticed a heavy figure in the distance standing close enough to the light to make out a large man but far enough for me to shake it off without worry. Soon enough I lost myself in deep admiration of the fertile sky.

It all happened so fast.

Out of nowhere, I was abruptly snapped out of my thoughts and brought back to menacing reality by the wailing of the people behind me. I rose to my feet to see a heard of frightened people heading towards my direction. Without hesitation I turned and ran as fast as my brown tattered boots could take me. Sharply I turned around the corner, not wanting to look back I focused on the promising path I front of me.

Once I felt a safe enough distance away from the vicious scene that just took place. I hunched to catch my breath.

I had reached an all night corner shop that beamed neon lights into my eyes which squinted in return.
I pulled myself upright and looked at the sky thinking about how these things always seemed to occur at this time of night, and how none of those harmed tonight would receive any king of formal justice.

I could hear the piercing noises of sirens in the distance, funny how they show us fast they turn up when a party goes wrong but when needed they take their sweet time or decided going is not worth it.

When those flashing lights appear there's nowhere to hide, life becomes still and and their first instinct is to kill. Another life had been lost in the stark neighbourhood tonight, no doubt tomorrow flowers will be sent and forty's would be portioned out in some kind of respect in the morning.

Mothers would be grieving and men gathering around in black suits giving half hearted apologies and asking for forgiveness from the dead of the pain they have caused, I needed to leave this neighbourhood.

This town was draining the life out of me.

The day after when they are lined up being questioned by officers on who did it, all would share small glances at others whilst remaining silent. Heads being hung low but pride being held high all would catch a bird and end up locked up as a heard.

It'll only be a small a portion of time till another boys life is taken in retaliation, life's a small circle that we all march in, somebody's will never see the end or will see it too soon.
