Scarlett and Alex weren't normal children. The crew would always find them getting into all sorts of trouble and turn out to be just fine. For example, they once jumped off the boat with a cannon tied to their feet and stayed down their for half an hour before the crew realized what they had done. When they were safe back on the ship they were completely fine. "I just wanted to see what it felt like to be stuck underwater that long" Scarlett said happily. The twins got along together just fine. They both had long black hair, were rather tall and had vivid sea green eyes. Scarlett would always try to play pranks on the captain, and that did not change when they were held captive on the Flying Dutchman.

"Why can't ye just let Davy Jones sleep in peace for once?" asked Alex in exasperation. She was sitting on"He's gonna be so mad when he wakes up." "I know but what's life without an adventure mate?" was Scarlett's response as she carried a bucket full of fish and slime to the captain's room, intending to balance it on Davy Jones' head while he was sleeping and cause the crew to have a very unpleasant morning when he wakes up.
"If you really wanted to go home you already would have Alex" said Scarlett. "You know just as well as me you can walk underwater. Ye get it from Calypso. Is there something yer not tellin me mate?" Alex cracked a smile. "It is a little fun seeing grandfather."
