I was at the door,
They eagerly awaited my knock,
I hesitated; momentarily paralyzed,
A vision of esticy; pain; love; emptiness; regret; dreams; depression; bliss; wonder,
Every precious moment flashing by,
Every excruciating tearfilled hour,
Every spark in my lost soul,
Every scar in my past,
Feeling the criminal mentality of the world's tainted heart
The legend inside of me,
The glory,
The fading glitter,
The frozen time,
The screaming voice; alien but still my own,
The darkness blinding,
The light terrifying,
The cleansing knife; piercing my flesh; biting my soul; consuming my life force,
I cling onto the last of my humanity,
The lock firm; the key lost long ago,
The last stand,
The last breath,
The last heartbeat,
As I step through death's fiery door
