The Manager sat me down at the desk. "Here's all the door locks and lights and stuff. Make sure you look at the cameras a lot."
I stayed quiet, I dared myself to ask 'why?' But I knew. I knew what was going to happen that night. I had a friend one time, Micheal, we were good friends back when we were both on the security day shift. One day, the manager asked him if he would work for the night, just while the usual guy take a night off for his family. Micheal, being the sweet guy he is, said yes. That was the last time I saw him.
So sitting there I knew, the was the night I'd die.
He finished explaining to me how everything works but I barley listened. I knew whatever he told me would not change what was going to happen. It was an unavoidable doom.
Then he left. Left me all alone, turning off all the lights in the building on the way out. I felt so alone and isolated, yet I knew they were watching me. All this thinking made me forget what was even happening. I glanced at the first camera. Nobody moved, all three were still there. I took a deep breath of relief and fell back in my chair. Then I began to panic
"THREE?!?" From my time on the day shift I knew where the fourth was located but I didn't check. I switched to the next camera anxiously. He. Was. Gone.
Now I would normally say in a calm person, but in that moment, I was a wreck. I pushed all the buttons, all the lights, looked through all the cameras faster than the speed of light. I began to cry when I noticed Bonnie was gone from her spot and was in the closet. But foxy, where was he!?!? From the frantic light pushing and door holding, I ran out of power. If I only listened to the manger I would've known that.
I stayed in my chair In the dark and prepared myself to see something that even nightmares have nightmares about. I saw a large figure peek through the door, wrap his paw around the door frame and smile sinisterly. My eyes were glue open and I couldn't take my eyes off this monster. Just then, my wrist was tapped, I was frozen in fear and had zero response. I was yanked, I looked down and saw a figure in the small bit of light my eyes could still notice. He pulled me off the chair and brought me back, Into a dark closet. I continued looking the bear, but to my surprise he didn't see where I went. I guess he doesn't have night vision.
I felt safe then remembered the person, or thing, the brought me to where I am now. I turned and stared as my jaw dropped wide open. I might've pissed myself a little I was so scared......
