*Athena's P.O.V.*

The sweet smell of blood engulfed me as well as a familiar feeling of thirst. A thirst that was unquenchable. The thirst didn't belong to me though. It belonged to someone in that house who was about to go through transition. My heart ached with the realization that only one person was in the house, and that one person was Niall.

Fear pulsed through me. What had she done to him? What is she gaining from being a fucking crazy ass bitch?!

My fear was quickly replaced by an uncontrollable rage. A now very familiar feeling, because of her.

My impulse control was thrown out the window as I charged into the house.

It was a nice house until I got there. The furniture all matched, there was hard wood flooring and all wooden furniture matched it. It was pretty spacious and bright, so my first impulse was to destroy everything that I crossed while still following the sent of blood that seemed to be coming from the basement.

My light footsteps was the only sound in the entire house and that scared me more than anything. I was to late. Niall hadn't survived the transformation. No sounds of breathing and now that I was focusing on it I no longer felt the aching pain across my body. I was no longer channeling anyone's emotions. Which meant there was no one to read.

A tiny creak caught my attention. I hadn't realized I'd stopped moving until I was no longer wrapped up in my own thoughts. My ears focused in on the creaking. It sounded as if someone was shifting their weight anxiously.

Before I could find the source of the sound i was pinned to the wall, a hand on my throat and the others wearabouts unknown to me.

Instincts took over before I could register who it was exactly that I was attacking.

My knee flew up to meet the stomach of my assailant, much to my surprise it didn't fase him. I could now tell by the build it was a man and for some reason I didn't put the clues together until he spoke.

"I wouldn't move if I were you." He growled, obviously not recognizing me either.

"Niall, stop its me."

The grip loosened following my words and sooned abandoned my neck all together. Only to be used to pull me into Niall's chest.

His strong arms wrapped around my waist so tight he nearly lifted my feet from the floor. I returned the hug with as much enthusiasm as he had. Relief flooded my entire body. Every muscle in me relaxed into his embrace.

We took a moment to just appreciate eachother. I took this time to examine his wounds. I tried to channel his emotions but was unsuccessful. I tried again thinking my own emotions just got in the way but ending in the same result.

I pulled away, examining Niall's features.

"What's the matter?" He asked. His smile almost dropping but still fighting to stay on his lips.

"I-I can't read your emotions. I could before I came in but now.... its like your emotions dropped off my radar." A small ball of panic began for in my stomach. This couldn't be good.

"We have to get out of here. We gotta go to Elena and Damon with this. Let's go." I was about ready to pick him up to make the trip faster but he stopped me.

"I'm one of you now. I'm just as fast, if not faster." With his last couple of words a smirk crept onto his lips and then he was gone. Leaving behind a gust of wind. I followed his scent all the way up to the front door where he stood frozen with the door open.

An all to familiar scent (a scent that made me want to barf from the memories it triggered) mingled with Niall's.

Before I could do something Niall was engaged in battle with a small girl I recognized immediately as Kelsey.

At first it looked as if Kelsey would have the upper hand. Her ability to read thoughts hiving her an unfare advantage but just as I was about step in Niall threw her across the room and through the wall.

Kelseys shreik of pain almost made me cover my ears but I was far to distracted by Niall. I was a newborn just a few weeks ago but in no way could I have ever thrown someone that hard.

There was something off about him. He wasn't the same as a regular newborn. He was stronger, my mind flashed back to just minutes before when he'd pinned me to the wall. There had been no chance of my escape if I'd fought more. I realize now just how strong his grip had been.

He was faster than me even and I had tested my speed against Harry and Damon and Gabby and Louis and Elena. I had been faster than all of them but some how he was faster.

Could he be potestatem like me? But this feels different. Potestatum seem to form within the brain. Reading emotions and reading minds but extrodinary strength and speed wasn't related to the brain.

While I was being useless, lost in thought, Kelsey had recovered from her date with the wall and had lunged at Niall 3 more times, unsuccessful each time.

My body ached like I had been the one to be thrown against the wall three times. A burning rage boiled within me. A hatred towards Niall almost made me want to hurt him.

"Wow, Kelsey. You know for such a little person you hold a lot of anger. Have you ever thought about getting some help? Therapy maybe?" My eyes narrowed on her as her head jerked in my direction. The look on her face revealed that she'd completely forgot that I was here.

She didn't say anything but her hate filled eyes darted between me and Niall and soon an evil smirk formed on her lips.

I could see the wheels turning inside her head and was ready for her next move.

She grabbed at the air at which I had stood seconds ago. She landed on the floor with painful sounding thud. A groan escaped her but she was back on her feet in no time, glaring at Niall, who was now by my side.

"You really think you can defeat me? I kicked your ass, I kicked Dakotas ass and I kicked Harry's ass. Don't be surprised if you don't walk away from this." A smirk had crept onto her lips, a vicious hatred into her eyes and I laughed.

Nearly fell over I laughed so hard. She looked at me in surprise. A look I had expected but was still satisfying to see. The mind reader, surprised!

I took a few deep breathes trying to calm myself before I spoke.

"Okay let's just examine your statement for a few seconds here.- " A smile still rested upon my features, so big it was almost hard the speak.

"Two of those people you just listed, were humans. You are faster, stronger and can read their thoughts. Its like you are a 12 year argueing with a 6 year old. It just makes you incredibly stupid. And with Harry,  Again the mind reading thing plus you blitz attacked him and you're both faster and stronger than us. Well most of us." I added the last part as I glanced at Niall.

The anger in her eyes doubled and everything slowed down. In actuality everything probably happened in a matter of seconds but to us it was like time at stopped running and had started taking a leisurely stroll through the park.

Kelsey lunged toward us, eyes black with rage, fangs sparkling with thirst for our blood but before she was even in a foot of where I was standing her head was on the other side of the room.

Her body lay a few feet away, Niall standing over it. His ice colored eyes glowed. Like literally they were like two little flashlights. Purple veins crawled beneath his eyes. To anyone else he would've looked terrifying but for some reason, to me it was the hottest thing in the world.

We were in each others arms instantly.

"Its over. Its all over." Relief flooded my body. To think that after all this horrible ridiculousness it could be over. Over this easily.  Why did so much pain come from an enemy that could be defeated so easily. I had expected a huge last battle with both ends evenly matched.

I couldn't be happier that that wasn't the case.

We seperated without a word spoken and headed back to my House hopefully with everyone still alive.
