Chapter 2

Two days later from the note incident, Chrissie and I were walking around our neighborhood talking about things that had happened this year. When all of the sudden, something hit me, I turned to Chrissie and said, " Have you noticed that Vlad and James for the past two days haven't done anything to us, or even bothered us?

   "Yes!"

   " OK, so I'm not the only one."

      "Yes, but have you noticed that ever since that incident with Vlad on the track, Kyle won't leave us alone?"

 "Yes! It annoys me a lot, I mean yeah back then I couldn't defend myself well, but now with the little training I got from Shina,  can protect myself a bit more. Plus I even do some training by myself to make sure I stay fit and a ware of what's around me." 

  " Yeah, I know it makes me mad also, sometimes I just want to go up to him and say, hey leave us alone, you dweeb, we can take care of ourselves we don't need you or your friend's help to keep us safe." 

  "Chrisse... do you really want to to tell him that?"

" Yes, that punk needs to know that we're not weak."

  " well OK then... but I still wonder why Vlad hasn't bothered us because he usually says something to me on the way to bus or even plays very annoying pranks on me, but ever since that encounter in the forest, he's been very distant. Every time I see him, he looks the other way, and also keeps on his side of  the street, instead of crossing over to my side to get to the bus stop."

  " Hm... strange, well we will have to find out what's up with him, I mean we sort of found out the reason why he wanted you gone, so what's with the attitude and everything, is he going hurt you a different day or what?"

    " I don't know but it really bothers me and also gets on my nerves." The moment after I said that, Vlad and James came walking out of one of the houses on the street we were walking down. From the look of things, James looked very happy about something, while Vlad on the other hand, did not. Not only that but he also looked like he was not there altogether, like he was lost in some other world. At first when Chrissie and I saw them, we were a bit unsure if we should go near them or not, but then decided to see what would happen if we did. 

When we walked closer to them, James was the one who noticed us first( which was not usual for him to do, because Vlad usually notices some one close by) " Well, well , well, look what we have here! He exclaimed happily to Vlad," It's Chrissie and Luna, just the two people that I wanted to see on a LOVELY morning like this!" he said as he made a gesture to the cold December weather conditions we were experiencing at the moment. "Can it James," Chrissie said as harsh as she could, and went to attack him but was stopped by me. " By the way what are you two dweebs up to?" James smirked and chuckled to himself while Vlad faintly made a smile," None of your business." He said, and then started to walk away from us, when he did, Chrissie got very mad and not only yelled," Well what ever you two are up to we will find out, and when we do, oh you'll be so sorry that you messed with us."

  James just laughed at us and commented from over his shoulder, " Sure, what ever makes you happy." And with that, Vlad and him were gone. I turned to Chrissie after that and said, " What was that all about?" 

  " To be honest, I'm not sure, I thought something major would happen."

     " Really Chrissie, is that what all that smack talk was all about, just to see if something would happen?" 

  " Well... yeah, I mean why else would I do that?"

    "Chrissie, do you really want to have a fight with those two? I mean really, do you want to repeat what happened to me four months ago?" 

     "No, but that was before we knew anything about ourselves, so I guess I just wanted to see if I could handle them."

  "Well, don't, not until we know for sure."

    "OK... hey did you noticed that Vlad was acting a bit odd to you?

     "Yeah, very odd." 

      "OK good, I wasn't alone then, well I guess we can figure that out some other time." After that, we walked the rest of the way home in silence.
