Nothing's better than a cup of coffee, a book, and a cool weather. The cafe was pretty busy but the atmosphere was still calm. The sound of coffee being steamed can be heard, the smell was spreading through the place. A perfect mood for me to continue reading my favorite book.

As I was taking a sip of my latte, I realized that it's almost empty. I folded the corner of my page and closed the book before I stood up. I walked over to the counter and told the barista I wanted a refill. "Still reading that book I gave?" The barista said. "Of course I'm still reading it, Alec. I sat down and continued my book. Suddenly, a paper bag was placed in front of me. I looked over only to find out Alec was sitting across the table. "Here, your favorite donut" he said. "I didn't order any" I went back to my book and took a sip of the latte. He pushed down my book a little to reveal his eye smile. "It's on the house" he said before standing up and walked away. I reached over the paper bag and opened it. Two sugar glazed donuts, my all time favorite. I looked over at Alec and he was taking an order from a customer. He always smiles generously to the customers, even if they're being rude.
