I can't lose you

Penelope's pov

Last night I went to bed without Josie because her and Lizzie had to talk, which i'm fine with. I don't have to be with Josie all the time, I just happen to prefer that she is with me all the time.

I'm definitely not a morning person but being with Josie has made me one. Waking up without her made me more grumpy than usual. I went down to the cafeteria for breakfast and to wait for Josie. I thought about going to her room to get her but I didn't want to seem that clingy.

"Hey Peez" MG said
I just nodded at him, not really feeling like talking
"You good P?" he asked sincerely
"I'm fine" I snapped back to which he jumped back a little at
I didn't mean to snap at him like that but i'm just not in the mood right now
"Dang, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed" MG laughed poking at me
"Fuck off" I said glaring at him
"Okay okay, sorry" MG said putting his hands up
Then I felt a pair of arms wrap around me and I turned around to be met with Josie's lips which automatically made me feel less grumpy.
She pulled away and sat beside me
"Hi baby" I said smiling at her
"Hi Penny" she said grabbing my hand
"Oh so you're going to be nice to her" MG teased
"Duh, she's a total softie for me" Josie said smirking at me
I just pouted and crossed my arms while they laughed
"Hey hey hey, I think it's cute Penny. I like that you're only soft for me" Josie said uncrossing my arms
I smiled and pecked her lips
Josie leaned in and whispered in my ear,
"I missed you last night baby"
I smiled " I missed you too" I said back
"Honestly I couldn't sleep" she said chuckling and looking away. Probably in her attempt to not look clingy which I found cute
"Me either" I said grabbing her hand and intertwining it with mine
"Really?" she asked, her smile growing
"Really" I said back smiling at her
"Oh yeah, P here was a total bitch to me before you showed up" MG said teasing me again
I rolled my eyes
"I'm not a morning person" I groaned
"You're a morning person with me" Josie said smiling
"Only for you" I said leaning in
Josie closed that gap
I only pulled away when I heard someone gagging. I looked past Josie and saw Lizzie with a disgusted face
"Guys I just woke up I don't need to be seeing this shit" Lizzie said disgusted
"Also Jo" Lizzie said sitting next to Josie
"I need the room to myself tonight, Hope and I have some things to do" Lizzie said
Josie just made a disgusted face realizing what she was talking about
I wrapped my arms around Josie and put my chin on her shoulder looking at Lizzie
"That won't be a problem, Jojo can stay at mine" I said kissing her cheek
"Thank you Penny" Josie smiled
"Of course baby" I said squeezing her tighter to me and then letting her go so we could eat

Josie's pov

It was currently midnight and Penelope and I were in the library looking for research on the merge. There's not much we have found but we've been looking ever since we found out a couple months ago.
I looked over to see Penelope with tears in her eyes
"What wrong Penny?" I asked concerned while wiping her tears away.
"I can't lose you, not again" she choked out
I frowned because this had been something I was thinking about too
"Penny" I sighed
"We're going to figure this out, I promise. You won't lose me" I said to her
Truth is I don't know if that was the truth but I didn't want to see her cry. Penelope never cries like this and it made me sad.
She wiped her tears and smiled at me
Then she pulled me in for a hug
We just sat there holding each other for a while

After a couple of minutes of silence, I pulled back and looked at her
"Let's go back to your room so we can cuddle" I said
"Okay" she smiled sniffling a little
We cleaned up and then walked out of the library hand and hand to Penelope's room

Before we got there Davina stopped us
"Oh my gosh Pen are you okay?" she said walking up to us
"I'm fine Davina" Penelope said
"Did this Bitch here make you cry" Davina said referring to me
I could tell by the way Penelope tightened her grip on my hand that it pissed her off more than it pissed me off
"No Davina, she did not. If anything Josie has been the only one to make me smile in times like this" Penelope growled
"I highly doubt that" Davina smirked walking closer to Penelope
All of the sudden Penelope turned to me and kissed me. She put her arms around my waist and pulled me closer so she could deepen the kiss. I knew she was trying to piss Davina off when she swiped her tongue against my bottom lip asking for entrance to which I granted.
I heard Davina scoff and walk away when Penelope pushed me up against a wall
After a couple more minutes of us making out Penelope mumbled against my lips
"I'm sorry she was pissing me off and you looked hot"
I just smiled and laughed
"Come on let's go to your room"
I said grabbing her hand and leading her to her room
