Breathing is thin but I wont' let it end
scratch and claw to stay afloat
I'm drowning in the rain that never ceases.
Consistently struggling besides a thousand life boats
While distant lights on the horizon persist
once scattered throughout
are now blotted out, as a sunshine drought.
Can no blue print then bring me back to smile
create the places I use to know
Where once there was land, grass, and flowers?
Can I go back there a while
For enough time to let some sunshine grow...
then I'll come back, I promise I'll walk that plank.
Sink low, where the fish creep along a sandy bank
even in the murk I'd be happy, if only I had another light to burn out the rains
For with the rain comes lightning, and with the lightning, thunder.
Bad things come in threes, but just one could relieve me.
