In the final fight they shared they're first and last kiss. It was then that he knew that he had no other motivation to continue to fight because how could he when the most important person in his entire life has pass away.

Years has pass, the war has ended and there he was just like he said, watching the ocean with the red scarf around his neck. "It still smells like home and..you mikasa" Eren said with tears rolling down his cheeks "I completed my promise, I avenge my mother and you but now it's time I full fill my other" Eren said while getting a gun that he had in his pocket and putting it against his head "The world sure is cruel but also beautiful, From now on well always be together" Said Eren while pulling the trigger.
