It was a Friday evening and as per usual Maya was sitting in her bed window looking at everything there were in the world.
She sighed as a single tear roller over her cheek and tried to get herself together.
Her mother was still at work and she didn't want to face The Matthews.
But what was new?
Nothing actually.
"How did we get here, Daddy?" Maya asked as she looked into the sky.
"One moment we were a happy family and the next... I miss you so much. I wish you were here," Maya said as she wiped her tears away.
"I love you, Dad," Maya said as she climbed into her bed.
Tomorrow was another day and maybe then she'll be able to go on with her life like it was.
But now she just needed some sleep.
