As I look outside the window of the moving car, driving away from my childhood home, I think about the friends I had. Well, they were ghosts, but they were nice. I've always had been able to see ghosts. But not all of them. I grab my headphones and put them on, and listen to some music. My eyes start getting heavy, and soon fall asleep.

Later~

I wake up by a gentle shake. I take my headphones off and look at my mom. "We are here," she says. I look out the window. This place is going to have ghosts, I think looking out the window.

"Okay," is all I say and get out the car with my mom. We grab some of out stuff from the trunk and go to our room. We did that a few more times until we finished getting our stuff into our room 404. I take my boxes into my room and start unpacking. Putting my paintings and drawings on the wall, puting my guitar and amp in one of the corners, and putting my clothes away. After that stuff I make my bed. The room isn't that bad, I should repaint it though. Go out with a painting of me and my mom on it and put it above the couch. Already feeling like home, I think smiling to my self.

"Do you want to go explore the building?" My mom asks me, and my face lights up.

"Yes I do! I'll see you later mom," my mom hands me a key and I take off. I'm going to go top to bottom, and I saw a 5th floor, so let's start there. I head to the elevator and go to the fith floor. As I wait I put a lollipop in my mouth. Once the doors open and I get out, I know I'm going to see ghosts. I read the sign and decide to explore anyway. Most of the doors are locked but I was able to go into one. I look through the room but didn't find much. I go to the bathroom though, and see a little girl. "Hey little girl, what's your name?" I ask and she seems shocked.

"How can you seem me?" She questioned.

"I've always been able to ghosts like yourself. My name is Y/N."

"I'm Megan," she smiled sweetly. We talked for a while but told me I had to go due to her dad, so I left. I examend the rest of the apartment but couldn't do anything else. I then went to the 4th floor again. There weren't many people on that foor, but oh well. I go to the next floor. I see a tall lady sweeping. I go up to her.

"Hi, ma'am. I'm Y/N," I said to the tired looking woman.

"Oh, I'm Lisa. You must be from the family of 404. It's nice to meet you. And sorry for not coming up there to greet you yet, I had to fix some stuff on this floor."

"Eh, it's fine, I just finished unpacking early and decided to explore the building."

"If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" She questioned.

"I'm 15."

She smiles and says "your the same of my son and his friend, I think you should go say hi to them." She pulls out a card from her pocket and gives it to me. "This is a key card for the basement, that's where my son is." I take the card.

"I'll go say hi after I'm done exploring," I say and wave good bye. I finish talking to everyone in the building and I go to the basement. I have to admit, I was weird and felt like I would get kidnapped... But Lisa seems nice so I'm not to scared. Look around there is only one apartment, so I go knock on the door. I wait, and wait. Bruh. Knocks harder.... Grrr. Knocks even harder to where is sounds like I'm about to break the door down. I hear something fall. And after a few seconds later, the door opened and I saw a tall male, with long brown hair. I give a smile, "hi I'm Y/N, Lisa sent me down and I'm going to assume you are her son because you look a lot like her."

"Nice to meet you Y/N, I'm Larry, and yes I am her son. Want to hang with me and my friend Sally Face?" He asked. He gives we a weird feeling. Well less him but the area around him, but I'm just going to ignore it.

"Sure, nothing better to do," I say in a joking tone. He chuckled a little and he let me in. I saw a boy with blue hair that was in pigtails, with a... Probably prosthetic.

"Oh, are you new?" The bluenette says.

"No, I'm a ghost," they both looked shocked when I said that. Maybe I shouldn't have said that. "I didn't actually mean that, I just moved here." They both took a sigh of relief. "You guys have seen ghosts here haven't you?"

"Yeah, we have." Larry says.

"By the way, my name is Sal, but call me Sally Face," says bluenette.

"Y/N." I say with a small wave. I look over at Larry and see a black figure above him, it has bright red eyes, and we made eye contact. I stumble backwards and fall down. And it disappears.

"Are you okay?!" Larry says concerned.

"Y-yeah. But there was a s-shadow behind you for a moment... It had red eyes..." I say still scared. I think that was what I was feeling. How did I not see it right away?

"I didn't see anything," says Sally Face. "How could you see it?"

"I have the ability to see ghosts without them allowing humans to see them. And I've always been like this. And they can fully seem me because my soul allows me to be in the human realm and the first layer of the shadow/ghost realm. But I only see the human realm." I might've said to much because they both looked shocked by this information. Larry goes and sits next to Sal. Should I leave or... This was highly awkward.

"That's really cool, but weird... How is that possible?" Larry questions. I personally don't know that...

"I don't know I've just always been able to do that. Some ghosts were able to explain why I always see ghosts. But they could never go in depth with it." I respond. I sit on the floor near them.

"Oh and the creater you saw behind me, if it's the one I'm thinking of, cursed me," I stare at him for a second and I started to die laughing. He looked confused which was even funnier. "Why are you laughing?" He asked still highly confused.

"They can't curse you," I say through laughs. He looked dumbfounded. Then he turned red, probably embarrassed. After a while I finally finished laughing.

"Well at least I know I'm not cursed... " He said with a mix between embarrassed and relieved, and I just giggled.

"Soooo, let's play a game. It a game that allows us to get to know each other. You ask a question and I answer then I asks question and you two answer it. Sound fun?"

"Sure," both Sally and Larry said at the same time.

"I'll start, what is your favorite meal?" I say.

And both of them look at each other smiling and said in unison "dino chicken nuggets!!" That was cute to be honest, like little kids.

"Do you listen to metal?" Larry said. I could feel the eye roll Sally did.

"Yes and no. I listen to a bunch of different types of music but I do listen to a little bit of metal, mainly when I have to much energy and I need to calm down," I say with a little embarrassment in my voice at the end. "What are some of your hobbies?"

Larry starts off by saying, "painting and jamming to Sanity Falls."

"Video games," Sally says calmly. "What are your hobbies?"

"Painting, playing guitar, writing song, drawing, in my old town spray paint murals and memorials onto walls which I had a permanent to do it actually," I say fondly of the happy sad faces that gazed at them. This went on for a while till we had no more questions left. I could tell that Larry was mostly going to be a mix between the crack head friend and the dad friend, and Sally was the curious and calm friend. But suddenly my phone goes off. I check it and my mom says she's going to the store to stalk up on food and other stuff like that. After that we decided to play video games. Me and Larry got extremely competitive, but I beat him and Sal each time. But after two and a half hours, I had to head home. But hey it was Friday so I have time to hang with them during the weekend. Larry said some of there friends were coming over tomorrow and I could meet them, but not to mention the ghost thing to them. I fall asleep and for once, I have had a peaceful slumber.
