THE SCORNED QUEEN'S FURY (COMPLETED)

Chapter 1

"Sultan, you have drifted again" Kamina said as she carefully watches her handsome, dashing, every girl's dream husband, Colonel Sultan of just 41 as he drives,

"huh, what" he asked,
she sighed and said " I was telling you Lailah got her first recital coming up, but you were far away, what's bothering you, is it work" her voice was full of concerned

"Am fine" he answered with a poker face, "you should let me resume work I can help you out, I don't have to be on field you know" she said,

"No Lailah needs you, she is just 3, and she needs you at home"

"you don't understand, am tired of sitting at home, since her birth, am beginning to think you want me to be a stay at home wife, a house wife" she joked but he just gave her a poker look, just when the traffic light gave the green light and he drove off again,

"Geez that was a joke sultan" she said, he shrugged.

After some minutes he drove into their magnificent looking house, "I have to go the base, general called" he said as she opened the door to get out,

"But its past 10pm" she complained, "its work, don't wait up for me" he said sounding dismissive,

"fine and I want to thank you for taking me to see dad and mum, they were happy you came, please Sultan, they are your parents, give them a chance to amend the wrong they did to you, I don't know what they did to you, but no matter what, they are your parent, they always want what's best for you, so try" she calmly said,

he gave her a slight nod and took a step back, she waved as she watch him drive out,

Kamina was a girl of 23 years when she got married to Sultan of 27 years at that time, she was one of the officers working in the Military team working in the presidential office at that time with Sultan, and also her father happens to be a good friend of Sultan's father, so their marriage was sort of an arranged marriage,

even thou Kamina fell in love with Sultan the very first moment she set eyes on him, to her it was a dream come true to marry a guy of her dreams, a guy like Sultan,

Kamina is a very nice girl, loving and caring 7 years after their marriage she gave birth to a baby girl he immediately named Lailah.

As she stood after watching him drove off, she thought on how Sultan came to agree to their Union, she knows her husband respects her as his wife and mother of his child, he see to her needs, but the one thing she carve for more than everything in the world is his love which she never has, no love nor affection, right before their marriage she knew he has a feud with his parents, but nobody not even him nor her parents could tell her what went wrong.

Sultan is never an abusive husband, nor is he a complainer, whenever he is at home, it's like he isn't there, he either is in the underground room inside his room smoking weed or in the gym tirelessly working out, when at home you hardly hear him talk out loud and when he does, he always sounds dismissive and always wearing a poker face or a scowl, when he smirks or try to smile its always with his daughter.

At first Kamina thought she could get through to him, but her efforts were in vain, so when she got pregnant she thought he was going to change, so when he she told him the news at first,

she was shocked when he asked if she is keeping it and before she could answer she noticed he zoned out a bit and then quickly turned to her saying "am sorry, and congratulations" with that he went out, she was baffled.

But she is proud of the love he shows their daughter.

Its true he and his parents are as distant as ever, ever since he came back to find out that his child and girlfriend are dead with no logical explanation on how, only that they were caught in fire, something in him broke that day and that caused the rift between his parents and him.
