15 year old Tyler Auraze is just any other boy who dreamt of getting a Pokémon in the Annual Giveaway and travel the world. But his dreams come to a halt when he didn't receive one; while the rest of the town got theirs...
" Bye! Do your best! Don't forget to call now and then!" Mom exclaimed as I walked waving a bye.
Finally! My very own adventure was about to start in a matter of minutes. 'Enthusiasm' coursed through my veins as Riolu rested on my head.
Yesterday, with a lot of trouble, I discovered that Riolu couldn't stay in a PokéBall for more than a few moments. He gets popped out after roughly three minutes for reasons unknown. Well that's okay. I like the company when Riolu is out.
I walked towards the lab and knocked the door. No one answered.
" Hello? Anyone in there? " I asked.
A passerby told, " Kid, the professor is out on an important meeting. Did you wanna meet him? It might take a few days at a stretch. "
I nodded. I had planned to apologize to him personally but since he's away, that could wait till I visited.
Then Riolu tensed, growling at something.
" Riolu if you don't mind, my head hurts! " Riolu was squeezing my hair. I sensed something was not right. I looked around and saw those same piercing eyes.
" Hey wait up! " I called out as it disappeared. We looked around. Riolu was quick to catch the scent and pulled me towards the usual spot. So a rematch, huh? I can help!

Once we made it to the spot, Kadabra appeared out of nowhere. "Kadabra! " It cried, its eyes glowing red. Riolu took a step back. So did I. Oh, that was Leer, the move that causes fear to attack.
My first Pokémon battle was about to start! "Riolu, ready? "
He nodded.
Kadabra looked as if it was going to use Leer again. "Riolu, don't look at its eyes! Get close up! "
" Rai! " He charged. What I had learnt from Riolu when I observed him yesterday is that he is fast. Like really fast. And those paws of this could pulverize steel. So not much of a surprise when Riolu appeared under Kadabra and sent it flying into the berry tree.
" Riolu don't pursue. It looks risky." He nodded and returned to my side. Kadabra reappeared. It had used teleport to avoid Riolu's punch!
" Dang it! It's smarter than it looks. Be careful. "
I began thinking. Kadabra is a Psychic type Pokemon. Most effective way is to use Ghost type moves but... Wait, what am I taking about? I need no Ghost moves! "Riolu! Quick attack, now! "
That took Kadabra off-guard. The blinding speed punch landed on its face and for sure, it landed not so nicely on the ground.
" Ha-Ha! Excellent, Riolu! " I cheered. He cheered too. Now Kadabra looked nothing but mad. Its eyes glowed red and Riolu was sent off towards me. Psychic! It's quite the dangerous move.
