maihua POV
when i woke up the next morning i tried to hug Julia, but she was gone. i looked for my phone, it was 11:06 AM. so i thought maybe she went downstairs. when i walked down the stairs to see if she was there i smelled pancakes.
'morning bubs, are you making pancakes??' i asked with a still tired voice. 'yeah, you want some?' 'hell yeah' she laughed, which made me laugh to. 'its almost done, can you wait 5 minutes?' she said it like she was sorry. 'of course bubs! take all the time you need' i kissed her on her cheek and went to sit on the couch with a blanket over my body, watching some TV.
Julia POV
i loved it when she called me 'bubs'. it was so sweet. when i was done with the pancakes i sat down next to Maihua. 'maihua?' 'yeah bubs?' 'this is kinda awkward to ask...but are we a thing now?' she looked at me with joy in her eyes. 'if you want to, yeah' 'of course i want to, but do you?' 'bby, how can you even ask that?' we laughed and gave each other a kiss. it was a long but soft kiss.
*2 hours later*
Maihua POV
i had to go to a few of my friends because i told them that i would come over tonight. i told Julia she could stay at my house if she wanted. she agreed.
'do you really need to go? i want you to stay here and cuddle meeee..' she said kinda disappointed. 'yeah, i promised my friends to hang out with them today.. i'm sorry bubs.' i said with a calming voice. 'i'm gonna miss you' she said to me really sweet. 'yeah ill miss you to bubs.' she quickly gave me a kiss before i stepped in my car.
*at her friends house*
i was bored because they decided to play a video game which i wasn't good at, plus, it wan't my turn to play atm. so i texted Julia if she was okay. but she didn't respond for 1 hour. which was weird because when i text her she always immediately responds when i text her.
an hour later i got a call from her. 'finally...' i said relieved 'guys my girlfriend is calling ill brb!' when i picked up i heard something i was traumatized by the sounds i heard. i heard Julia screaming in pain and for help.
