Telling the Best Friend

"Oh no! How could I let this happen?" Jane said to herself. Jane had just found out she was pregnant. But she didn't remember sleeping with anyone. Or if she did, who it was. Her mom was going to kill her.

At that time Lonnie walking into the room. "Jane are you in here?" She called.

"Yeah I'm in here hold on just a sec." Jane called hiding her pregnancy test. She walked out of the bathroom.

"Everything okay?" Lonnie asked sensing something was up about her roommate.

"Yep. Everything is a-okay!" Jane said a little to chirpy.

"Okay now I know something is up. You're never this happy. Spill." Lonnie said sitting down. Jane sighed and sat down too.

"Well I wasn't feeling well this week and I thought it was nothing. Then I was looking at my calendar and it showed I hadn't started my period yet. So I decided to take a test. It came out positive but the thing is I don't even remember who I slept with and when I slept with them!" Jane said in one breath.

Lonnie just stared at her. "Lonnie say something!" Jane cried.

"Wow. You're pregnant? And you don't remember who the father is?" Lonnie asked. Jane shook her head no.

"Wow. Well do you think maybe you slept with someone at the party a couple weeks ago?" Lonnie asked. Jane thought about for a moment.

"It's possible. I know I had a few cups to drink that night that I shouldn't have. The only boy I remember talking to was Carlos. But I only remember talking that's it." Jane said with tears in her eyes.

Lonnie gave her a hug. "I think I saw you and Carlos kiss a few times then walk off. Maybe he is the father." Lonnie suggested.

"I hope not I really don't want to trouble him with my problems." Jane said crying.

"He'll understand. And if he doesn't I'll knock some sense into him." Lonnie said. She was usually pretty nice, but when she had to be, Mulan's daughter could be scary. Jane chuckled.

"I don't think that will be necessary. But thanks for the offer." Jane said wiping her eyes.

"Anytime. Hey let's head to your moms office and tell her. Okay?" Lonnie said. Jane nodded and the two girls got up and left for FG's office.
