Chapter 1

"Guess what!, you know that overseas trip thing I applied for like a Bazzilion years ago" Isla Evans said excitedly

" well...... I got in!, I'm going to Europe to do a big exchange thing!, I can't believe it!"

"Isla, that's great news...... but that means I'm spending the school holidays by myself....... Again." You promised we could go riding..... Remember!" Bec Thompson said trying to make her point.

"I know, this is a great chance for me to do want I've always wanted, you know, to travel the world!"

"Ugh" Bec sighed "come on then, we are going to be late for class."

~In Class~

"Haha!" said a few of the popular girls shouted on the desk next to Isla and Bec.

"Do you ever wander how they never get caught in class for not doing they work, and surprisingly they still get good marks?" Bec said confused.

" I don't know, people probably give them the answers" Isla repiled

"ha yeah, your probably right!"

"Ugh, yes another day of school complete!" Bec said in a satisfied tone of voice.

"Hey do you want to come over after school? We could get a good riding session in and maybe a bit of homework...... if there's time?"

" Oh sorry Becs I have to plan for my trip to Europe, but maybe on the weekend?" Replied Isla.

"Looks like I'm riding Willow on my own from now on." Bec said to herself as she was walking home.

~The Next Day~

"Hey, yesterday I was searching up the different places in Europe and they look amazing!, I can't wait till we go..... But I will miss you" Isla said excitedly as she was preparing for her first lesson.

"Isla, don't you think that Europe in a bit too far from here?" Bec exclaimed.

"No, it's a chance I probably won't get again so I thought you would be happy that i had it."

At lunch time Bec found Isla sitting with Lena and Fiona the popular girls they were talking about before. So she sat by herself surprised at this. Finally when lunch was nearly over, Isla came over and said a few things that made it easier to understand.

"Hey,"

"hey, sorry I didn't sit next to you, it's just Lena is going on the exchange trip too, so we were planning a few things, she is actually quite nice, if you get to know her, so don't take it personally if I'm next to her for a few days."

"Oh sorry got to go."

When lunch had finished Bec went inside and collected her books for English. Isla's locker has always been next to Bec's locker, but instead of just her collecting her books Lena, Fiona and a few other girls came over as well.

"Oh Bec I forgot to tell you that I have moved desks, I'm next to Lena which means your next to Timmy Backshaw, thanks I knew you would understand."

"Ugh, why do I have to sit next to the nerdy kids" Bec muttered to herself as she slammed her locker shut. "This exchange trip it tearing our friendship apart!"

The next few days past and the exchange trip drew closer. Then on the day of the exchange trip Isla rode over to Bec's farm.

Knock, knock

"Hello is anyone there?" Isla shouted waiting for a replied. Just as she was leaving Bec shouted from her window,

"wait!" And went to meet Isla.

"So your going today aren't you?"

"yeah, but it will take us a few days to get there."

" Oh,cool, I just came to say goodbye, and see you in a couple of weeks."

"Oh,ok well bye and see you in a couple of weeks, I'm going riding now so I can't talk anymore,"Bec mumbled angrily.

"Bec, wait!, I don't think mum and dad will mind if I disappear for a few hours, the flight is at 9:00pm" Isla shouted.

"Yes, come on then, there's a new spot I have been dying to show you!" Bec shouted in a happy voice.

After their ride they rode to Isla's house and said goodbye there because Bec could go to the airport as she did not do her homework.

"I'm gonna miss you! How long are you going for again?"

" just five weeks, not that long"

"Well I'm glad we are friends again"

"yeah,me too. Well I'll see you soon and remember to text me about things here"

"ok bye, bring me back a souvenir!" Bec said as she rode off.

~ A Few Hours Later~

It was 8:00pm and Isla was at the airport, checked in and waiting for the rest of the group to get there. Soon it was 8:30pm and there was one girl missing.

"Can't you call someone, her parents, we'll never go at this rate!" Lena muttered to the teacher that was taking us.

"We can't go without her because to numbers will be uneven" said the teacher to a lena's dad who was also coming on the exchange trip.

"When are we going to go, I'm starving!" Said one of the kids going on the trip.

Just as they were about to go Isla phone rang

"Hello?"

"Hey Isla it's me, I know your missing someone so I have a plan."
