I see that look in your eyes..

It makes me go blind..

Another day.

Another damned day filled with fear, dread, and uncertainty.

Nick had heard it all, had seen that same look of reassurance from Johnny too many times to count.

It was all the fucking same!

What did it matter, though? What did it matter if they weren't doing anything about it?

Adrien was gone, only the gods knew where Kenny was, Betty was hurt, and his little brother was missing! Everything was a disaster!

Nick was blind to the reassurance, sick of it even. Sure, he may have usually been the level headed one of the two, but everything was getting to him now.

Something had to be done! Why wasn't Johnny doing anything?! Why was all he could do give him that same, stupid smile? Why could he only offer him gentle reassurances?!

Nick wanted answers. Johnny didn't have them.

Johnny was blind to Nick's panic. Nick was blind to Johnny's reassurances.

Cut me deep, these secrets and lies..

Storm in the quiet..

"We'll find him soon, Nick, it'll be okay!"

Faith, always the sweet one, he couldn't be annoyed with her. She'd been through some shit too, he couldn't be mad at her, but the reassurances were getting dull and meaningless.

He forced a smile, adjusting his glasses and acting tired.

"I know, Faith, I know."

She offered a kind smile back in return, and it was all of Nick's self control to not grimace or snap at her. Instead, he nodded and turned away from her, taking a deep breath.

They don't understand, we're sitting idly, doing nothing. The next time we may see Dylan might be in a body bag.

The thought made him inwardly cringe, but he left the room without a single word. Nick tried to keep his thoughts empty as entered a different room of the house, finding the spare room they had kicked Caz out of temporarily for Betty's comfort.

She's always been nice company..I haven't checked in on Betts in a while anyway..

Sighing to himself, he knocked on the door, "Betty, you awake?" he called into the room.

No answer.

Nick sighed, having expected that.

Of course she's asleep! She's been stabbed you dimwit!

With a shake of his head, he turned around and went back the way he came, his steps quick. Anger was building quickly, anger that he couldn't explain.

Maybe it was about being okay, or the secrets everyone seemed to be keeping now. Maybe it could be about being pent up in this stupid home that used to be so homely, or it could be because he couldn't do a damned thing to save his brother.

His thoughts raced, his anger built, and before he knew it, he found himself in the garage. Baby wasn't around, but their tools and stuff were strewn about. The car they had been working on was there, un attended, and there was a wall that looked too blank.

Nick strode over to it, and in one swift movement, punched it as hard as he could. Pain shot up his arm, his cry was silent, but the anger burned in his mind.
