{Spare}

"Wait, Spare! Sweetie!" Dad yelled, about to follow.

But I didn't mind. I didn't look back, didn't want to meet his blue eyes.

I ran faster, making sure he won't catch up.

I ran very fast.

I fell. Stumbled. Tripped over a rock, or even a twig.

But I never dared to look back.

I kept running, not thinking where should I go. Not looking at such signs. Not looking everywhere but the ground.

I tripped over a rock again, and I finally looked on the way.

I realized, I was out of town.

And it's already seven in the evening.

I looked back at the town and carried on until I saw the woods.

I kept walking, and I lay down under the tallest tree I saw.

I stayed there, not knowing I was being followed.

Until I heard faint footsteps.

As they went closer, a light is visible.

I was scared, mad, mixed negative emotions filled my mind and body when I thought it was my mother.

"Stay away! I'm warning you already!" I shout.

But the shadow didn't stop.

"Don't make me do this!" I shout once again.

The person turned off the flashlight.

Oh you got the nerve huh?!

Then they threw a dart and it almost hit me.

"Stay away!" I shout for the last time.

He didn't stop! And got even closer!

He kept walking like before. And as I can picture, the person's wearing all black, and a mask.

I thought he had a knife, or a gun. I thought the person is gonna kill me. But as he got five centimeters away from me...

He just then hugged me, and hushed. He whispered to my ear as he pushed the strands of hair away from my wet face, "I know you have problems. This is just me."

I pulled back, just to see Aspen.

I gave him a "how did you know?!" look, and he laughed as I realized that I chose an obvious area to hide on since he was named after the trees that are surrounding the place.

A place surrounded with Aspen trees.

"Dang it."

We both sat down, and he kept asking me questions.

It went like this.

Aspen: So, what's up?

Me: Well, nothing much. Just wandering around and looking for some inspiration?

Aspen: But it's a bit late! Why don't you just come here tomorrow?

Me: Well, I thought a time like this would do.
