I was shocked but also happy to be having dinner with Joe and Kelisha tonight. My face lit up when Monica called me to tell me that we were having dinner over there tonight. I went home to freshen up. I didn't want to smell like work. Once I had made my stop home I headed over to their home. I kissed and hugged my wife and our three babies.  I also hugged and kissed Ke on her cheek.  I spoke to Joe who had a beer in his hand waiting for me. Joe and I were chatting while the girls were finishing up whatever it was that was smelling good. I was so thankful that Kelisha and Monica were getting along because she was teaching Monica how to make certain foods and lord knew Monica needed the help. She was wonderful mother as well as wife, her cooking just wasn't as good as Kelisha's was.

Wow, I can't believe our babies are going to be one soon. I said to Joe. Yeah me either as well as I can't believe we will be married for a year as well. He said to me. That's mind boggling to me as well. Any major plans? I asked. Yup she and I are going away for a week. He told me. Oh nice. Yeah Monica and I are going to stay local this time around. I am treating her to a nice dinner and tickets to her favorite boy band. Oh really, who's her favorite boy band? He asked me. Some damn group named Kids On The Block. Oh boy I guess I better cancel my plans for the two of us. Joe said. Lol yup Ke likes them as well, her favorite is some punk name Jesse Jordan or something like that. I told him. Yeah I know, but I didn't know they were coming to town. Yeah me either a friend of mines told me. It's only for one night. 

Did you get Monica's ticket yet? No they go on sale on Thursday for discovery card holders. Oh well I guess we better get them the best seats money can buy. Joe said to me. Well I can't afford those seats, I was going to get her as close to the stage as possible. I told him. Hey listen I'll get their tickets so they can sit together and you can pay me back half of it. Joe told me. We agreed and shook hands on it. I told him to let me know when he gets them and the price and I would cut him a check. Once that was a go the girls had walked out with the rest of the food. Monica and I were putting Kendall and Mikey in their highchairs when the doorbell had rang.

Tony, Grace, and Noah had walked into the dining room. We stood up and exchanged handshakes and hugs. We all sat down and talked while eating. After dinner had finished we all just sat around and finished catching up. The three of us guys cleared the table and cleaned the kitchen. We gave the ladies the night off. Once we were finished in the kitchen we gathered into the living room. I noticed Kelisha wasn't around so I went upstairs to see if she was ok. I found her with Kendall getting her ready for bed. I stood in the door frame watching her every move. I didn't realize Monica was behind me. Coming to help our just going to stand there. She asked me. I told her I was coming to help out. Kelisha turned her head when she heard the two of us talking in the doorway. 

Come in you two. Monica I laid out Mikey's stuff on the changing table for you and the water is  filling up so we can put them in now. She said to Monica. What can I do? I had asked her. Well you can actually wash Kendall while I get the rest of her items out. She won't allow me to put her down today. She's been so clingy to me. Aww come here daddy's baby girl. I said to Kendall as I  reached out for her. In my mind I was actually looking to spend time alone with Kelisha and Kendall. I just wanted that one on one to see how we could have been as a family.  I took her diaper off and sat her down in the tub next to Mikey.  I splashed the two of them with water and played with them with the toys. I was actually enjoying this time with my two babies.

Once they were all washed and dressed Monica and I brought the two babies back downstairs to the rest of the party. Thanks for allowing me to bathe her tonight. I whispered to Kelisha so close that only she could here what I was saying. I wanted to take in her scent and I did just that. Kelisha told me it wasn't a big deal and that I was welcome. At that moment Joe walked up to us and wrapped his arms around Kelisha and kissed her on her neck.  Kendall stretched her arms out for Joe and it made me a little sad to see my baby girl reaching for what should have been me. Dammit man, I screwed up big time and I knew it as well as all of our friends and family.

I gave Kendall a kiss and a hug and walked away from the three of them. I went towards my wife who was now rocking Mikey to sleep and talking to Grace. I looked back to see Joe and Kendall were gone. Hey where'd Joe go? I asked Ke. Oh,he went to do his fatherly duties. She told me. Meaning after we bathe her every night we read her a book followed by he sings her to sleep. Here, why don't you go take him her cup of water and her bedtime snack. She told me as she handed me her cup of water and a bowl filled with blueberries and cheerios. I walked back up the stairs to find Joe coming back to grab the bowl and cup. Oh thank goodness. He said to me.

Yeah Ke told me to bring these to you. So you read to her and give her a snack? I asked him. Yeah but since you are here why don't you do it tonight. You can even sing her to sleep if you please. Once she's finished with her snack we take her to brush her teeth, read her book to her and put her in the crib. This what you do for her every night? I asked him. Yes, sir. He replied back to me. What do you do when she's at your house? He asked. Well we bathe them together and Monica combs their hair and gives them a warm bottle and we read to the three of them and rock the two of them to sleep. I told him. Joe nodded his head and said yup everyone has their own way of doing things. So feel free to work out your magic with her.
