The moonlight shone brightly on the snow, also reflecting the light from the Christmas trees all around. Inside a small little house, belonging to Ryan, four people sat on a couch before a fireplace. They were supposed to be having a party, but they were the only of the guests to arrive on time.
Ryan, Amy, Casey, and Jason drank hot cocoa while they waited for the other guests to come.
Ryan stared at the tree, its lights glimmering in his eyes. "The tree is awesome! Where did you get it?"
Jason and Amy exchanged glances before Amy replied, "We chopped it from Jason's backyard."
Casey looked nervously at the clock. "Where is everyone else?"
Jason laid back his head against the couch and answered, "We've got time, don't worry. It's only ten o'clock."
Across town, a black car whipped around the corner. In back, Sam clutched the seat tightly. The car was jumping and speeding off faster than it should, but Gabor, at the wheel, didn't care. Until, of course, he stopped just in time to not crash into the brick wall.
Sam moaned. "See, I knew it." He shot a quick glare at Gabor. "We're lost."
"No!" Gabor quickly denied. "We're not lost. We just..don't know where we are.."
Back at the house, Ryan fought at the front door with Cristina.
"Let me in!" she yelled. "You invited me!"
"No I didn't!" Ryan retorted.
"Yes you did!"
"No I didn't!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
Jason popped in from the doorway and added, "Actually, Ryan, you did invite her.."
Ryan stared at Cristina, his eyes showing his apology. She nodded to accept it and walked in. Ryan looked around before walking back in himself. The guests should be here by now.. he thought.
Autumn turned from the mirror to face Val and Danny.
"You guys ready?" she asked excitedly.
"Not yet," Val said, tying her shoe. Danny waited patiently as the girls finished preparing for Ryan's party.
"OK!" Val jumped to her feet, her pitch black hair loose. Autumn grinned and grabbed Danny's arm.
"Let's go!" she said happily, running outside, the other two close behind.
"GABOR!" Sam screamed. "SLOW THE HELL DOWN!"
Gabor didn't hear Sam over the screeching of his brakes as he almost struck a snow-covered tree in Ryan's front yard.
"You okay?!" he asked Sam, worried.
Sam held his head, looking dizzy. "Oh, yeah, just whiplash.."
"Heheh." Gabor smiled nervously. "Sorry." They got out of the sleek black car and rang the doorbell. On account of what Ryan had done, Casey took the liberty of answering the door. He grinned, welcomed them, and let them in.
Cristina looked at her watch. "It's ten forty-five." she said. "Who else left to wait for?"
Sam took off his coat while saying, "Let's see..I think Danny, Val, and Autumn are left."
