Telling the Father

Carlos had just finished tourney practice when Coach Jenkins had told him Fairy Godmother wanted to see him. "What does she want to talk to you about?" Jay asked him. He shrugged.

"I don't know. Probably about one of my classes. I applied to graduate with you guys." Carlos replied. Jay nodded and walked off.

When Carlos got to Fairy Godmother's office he saw that Jane was in there too. Why did she need both of them? "Hey Fairy Godmother. You wanted to see me?" he said. Fairy Godmother nodded.

"Yes dear one. Have a seat. I believe Jane has something she wants to tell you." Fairy Godmother said. Carlos looked at Jane.

"I'm pregnant." She said. Carlos was baffled. What did this have to do with him? Then it hit him. The party a couple of weeks ago. He had been talking to Jane but didn't remember sleeping with her. Uh oh.

"Carlos? Say something." Jane pleaded. She had tears in her eyes.

"Not to be rude but what does this have to do with me? Because I think I know but also I don't want to assume." Carlos.

Fairy Godmother studied him for a minute. "Carlos do you remember the part a few weeks ago?" She asked. When he nodded she continued. "Well Jane believes that something may have happened between you two that night which led to her being pregnant."

Carlos thought he would faint. "That's what I thought. Oh Fairy Godmother I am so sorry. I had no intention of this." He began saying. Jane hadn't said anything.

Fairy Godmother put her hand up to silence him. "It's okay Carlos. We won't actually know until we do DNA testing. If you want to. Of course the option is up to you." Fairy Godmother said in a motherly tone.

Carlos thought about. If Jane was pregnant with his child, there was no way that he would let her raise him/her alone. "Of course that's okay. If it is my child I'll be there every step of the way." Carlos said with a smile towards Jane. He took her hand and squeezed it to comfort her. Jane smiled at him.

"Thank you so much Carlos. I'm sorry to have dragged you into this." Jane said. Carlos looked at her lovingly.

"It's not trouble at all." Carlos said. Fairy Godmother watched the two interact. If Carlos DeVil was the father of her grandchild, she was beyond happy for the two of them.
