"You're a vampire." She said, unsure of whether she was stating the obvious or asking him if he was without the nervous question mark in her tone.
He laughed and came closer, "Babe, you really need to read less of your vampire novels. I get your obsession with Damon Salvatore but calling me as one of his kinds; it's a little insulting, honestly."
"Who are you?"
"I am still guy you love."
"That does not answer my question."
"How about you answer one of mine? How did you find your way till here?"
"No. You will answer me first."
"My answer depends on what you say."
She was frustrated and scared and had lost all energy to be stubborn. She spoke, "I get dreams about this place."
His eyes widened and he made no effort to hide his shock. He asked, "Did you ever see me in those dreams?"
"I did not. What does all this mean, Mark? Who are you? Stop scaring me."
"I wish I could give a more sophisticated word but I am bound by promises- I am half-human."
"And?"
"Well, if you're expecting me to say that I drink blood to survive or howl at midnights, then no. I am pretty much human in those senses..."
"But?"
"I am afraid I cannot tell you the rest of the details. More than my own restrictions, it is for your safety. The lesser you know, the better it is. For you. For us."
"I like how cliche you make this all feel. The monster boyfriend and his super protective attitude and oh, that high level shadiness. You know what? I'm afraid this is over. Us, over. I can no longer be with you and I.. I am gonna leave now."
She walked past him and then she heard him say, "I won't stop you or even convince you to be with me. Of course, I can't blame you. The problem, Meira, is that no matter how much you hate this, you're already a part of my 'monster' world now. Those dreams are not a coincidence."
"I am not your regular Bella Swan to stick with you in this mess and not feel disgusted. I don't want a part of this. I love my regular life and I am sure my fate wouldn't deprive me of that normalcy if I just walk out of this right now. God knows where that blood came from into your mouth and why would you wear two damn jackets and all that nonsense."
"There's no blood in my mouth, that dark liquid you saw is not red- it's dark blue. Its a sort of potion that I have to drink every midnight. More important than my sad two jacket story is the fact that you need me. Where you standing right now, it's a dangerous place. Let me at least drop you home."
As reluctant as she felt, there was no denying that she couldn't find her way out of the dark forest. It was dark, almost designed as a maze.
She sighed. He covered her with one of his jackets and held her hand as they walked.
