Dear diary,
Today, a gentleman clad in beige uniform ventured upon our grounds. He came in a long carriage bearing many school children and teaching them hunting techniques. He wandered outside his carriage and turned the keys to stop his vehicle. With a yell at the children, he turned back and opened the doors, whilst yelling "HOPE YOU'RE EXCITED FOR CAMP, KIDS!" I felt moved to tears. It has been far too long since the last time a human ventured upon our land. I asked The Captain to pluck out my eyes, for never will I see such beauty again. The Captain chuckled and said that this man was a scout leader and that men in uniform tend to be more attractive. He cleared his throat and added swiftly, "meaning, to women, of course." I turned my attention back to this strange man. He was shouting his commands to the children, handing them arrows and a chance to hold the bow. He looked so proud of them, he could just burst.
Suddenly, I found myself jumping like Lady Button out the window we the arrow entered straight through his neck. He stood there like a statue of marble for a frame, before diving his hand into his pocket and fiddling with his keys. He stumbled back towards his carriage, snapping off half his arrow and sitting behind the driver's seat. I ran towards the gentleman to check his well-being. That was when I heard the most extraordinary orchestration coming from the carriage. This gentleman must also man an orchestra as well as this group of ruffians.
The carriage had no horses, yet it gave the roar of a lion as the blaring lights proclaimed it's action. The gentleman fumbled with the keys and started moving inching towards the tree. His body thudded violently into the wheel as he lost consciousness. I must have screamed as I heard the Captain put a hand on my shoulder and state:
"You know what this means, though, Thomas, don't you? He could be here to stay."
I did indeed truly hope he stayed. And so I gazed at him until his ghost left his corpse.
